My name is Kelsey Terry I wanted to take a moment of your time to share some of my background, and why I believe that

I would be a great fit within Cargill. In 2010 I graduated from the University of Northwestern-St. Paul with a bachelors degree in International Business and a minor in Chinese Studies. At the conclusion of my freshman year I visited China for the first time. The two week trip with my classmates helped me to understand firsthand that global economics was no longer just a classroom theory, but something that could be used to understand how some countries thrive while others continue to struggle. While in Shanghai we were able to meet with Norwell Coquillard. At the time he served as the Present of Cargill Investment in China. During the time he took to meet with us he outlined the many business segments Cargill houses, and the way in which they work independent yet cohesive to accomplish any one of Cargills many objectives. It was in Shanghai and meeting with Mr. Coquillard when I knew I wanted to work for global company like Cargill. I then went on to become conversational in Mandarin in the hopes of one day working on behalf of a Minnesota-based company with a strong international presence. Upon graduation I was offered an internship with the CATO Institute of Washington D.C., but I decided to pass on the opportunity to work in the financial sector. At Nuveen Investments I worked on the operations side of things where I learned that I was not cut out for working in the financial sector. However, it was in the conversations I had with Sovereign Bond Traders on my floor when I knew that I did not simply want to observe global trends; but to be a part of a company that established international standards. Cargill has set the example concerning shipping freight efficiently across the globe, all the way down to encouraging Chinese farmers to use their GMOs. It was at that point that I knew that a position with Cargill was the career move I needed to make. In November of last year, my mentor of 9 years developed an increasingly aggressive cancer, so I stepped down from my position with Nuveen Investments to work with Midwest Carry Academy, a small startup. I took the position to have the flexibility to take my mentor to doctors appointments and to daily treatment. During my time with Midwest Carry Academy I was able to take sales from $135 per month to an average of $9,000 per quarter. My mentor has now made a steady recovery, and I am ready to begin my career with Cargill. I look forward to hearing from you soon. If you have any questions regarding my background or resume, please do not hesitate to ask for any additional clarification I can provide.
