REMINDERS: *Each Friday we will have a spelling test. Please review the words with your child during the week, especially on Thursday night. We do practice them in school, but the more practice the better. You can practice however you find works best for your child.

Spelling words here at the beginning of the year are basic Spanish sight words. Please make sure you practice these during the week! There is a great website that will say any word for you in Spanish with rather good pronunciation. Just type the word into the box and then press the audio button right below the box.

*Since Spanish has both masculine and feminine nouns, the article needs to agree with the gender. The article must also agree with the number, meaning there are basically four ways of saying the. el doctor (the male doctor) la doctora (the female doctor) los doctores (the male or mixed group doctors) las doctoras (the female doctors) el lpiz (the pencil) la silla (the chair) los lpices (the pencils) las sillas (the chairs)
