THANK YOU: We are grateful to those who made our Patronal Feast Day Celebration a huge success. Those who cleaned the church, cooked the festal dinners, washed the dishes, attended the church services, donated the much needed funds, or just helped out in any way to make the weekend a HUGE SUCCESS! God Grant You All Many Years! CONGREGATIONAL SINGING: The parish council has purchased 40 Divine Liturgy Books so that we can begin as a parish singing the responses to the Divine Liturgy.

We ask that when you enter the church on Sunday please pick up a Divine Liturgy Book at the candle desk to follow the Divine Liturgy and join in the congregational singing. Please join us in singing all the parts of the Liturgy as you have been doing with the Our Father! All we ask is that at the end of the Liturgy you return each book to the candle desk so that we can use it again every Sunday! DIVINE LITURGY BOOKS: If a Parish member would like to purchase a book for their own use the book sells for $30.00. They will be available at the candle desk. If someone is interested in helping defray the cost of the books for the parish please see Matushka Ludmila at the candle desk. Our purchase price totaled $1200! Your help in this initiative will greatly be appreciated.
OCTOBER FALL LUNCHEON: After the Divine Liturgy on Sunday October 20th please join us in the parish home for lunch. These luncheons are a

great time for us as a parish community to enjoy each others company. NEWSLETTER SPONSORS: We are grateful to those who have sponsored the monthly newsletter. This is a chance to support a parish initiative and a way for our parish to keep our faithful informed. So far we have sponsors into February of 2014. SAVE THE DATE: His Grace Bishop Michael will make his pastoral visitation the weekend of October 25th and 26th in 2014. CHURCH FAMILY: There is a great deal to be said about our church family here in Jackson. We are a community of Orthodox believers who strive to keep holy the Orthodox faith. Traditions are important to us and we work very hard maintaining our beautiful edifice. Without the leadership of our rector the Very Reverend John Prokopiuk, The Nativity of the Virgin Church in Jackson, NJ would not have come as far as it did over the years. Each year our hope is to increase our membership by one or more families. What
