Software Allocations
GPB Allocations
GPB Allocations in the RNC 3820 are as follows: Type 10: MS-5 & MS-24: Central MPs c1 (O&M) MS-7 & MS-22: Central MPs c2 (RANAP, RNSAP, SP Resource Handler) MS-6: Module MP #1 MS-8: Module MP #2 Type 110: MS-5 & MS-24: Central MPs c1 (eg O&M) MS-7 & MS-22: Central MPs c2 (eg RANAP, RNSAP, SP Resource Handler) MS-6: Module MP #1 MS-8: Module MP #2 MS-12: Module MP #3 MS-15: Module MP #4 ES-1-2: Module MP #5 ES-1-8: Module MP #6 ES-1-11: Module MP #7 ES-1-14: Module MP #8 ES-2-2: Module MP #9 ES-2-8: Module MP #10 ES-2-11: Module MP #11 ES-2-14: Module MP #12

SPB Allocations
There are mandatory SPB allocations in the RNC 3820. These mandatory allocations are:
Slot 9 10 23 5 6 27 5 6 27
SW allocation SPB_TYPE_A SPB_TYPE_A SPB_TYPE_A SPB_TYPE_A SPB_TYPE_A SPB_TYPE_A SPB_TYPE_A SPB_TYPE_A SPB_TYPE_A
The rule for the allocation of subsequent SPBs is: for all pair of additional SPB boards in Main Subrack, the roles are: SPB Type B and SPB Type D. all additional SPB boards in Extension Subracks have SPB Type D.
The results of these allocations are: For the Telstra Type 10 node, all three SPB boards are of SPB type A.

Default Gateways
There are five different IP networks connected to the Telstra RNC 3820s IP Network for O&M, referred to as OptNet IP Network for Core Network Signalling, referred to as SigNet IP Network for Iu-cs/Iur payload, referred to as Telstra Media IP Network for Iu-ps payload, referred to as RanNet IP Network for Iub signalling and payload, referred to as Titan (Metro or Regional)
Each IP Network uses two Routers directly connected to each RNC 3820. For each IP Network, the routers are referred to as the Default Gateway Routers for that IP Network. The Routers are connected to be load-sharing. Half of the ET-IPG will have Router 1 as the defaultRouter(0) and Router 2 as the defaultRouter(1). The other half of the ET-IPG have the opposite configuration which will result in the IP load being evenly distributed between the two Routers.

External IP Network
VLANs that are configured on the RNC 3820s are shown in the Table below. Note: VLAN Ids shown are for NBTB and WPN2, specific VLAN IDs should be obtained from the Design documents. ES1 and ES2 ports do not apply to the model.
