1. Recognize Gods Plan - PEACE AND LIFE God loves you and wants you to experience His peace and life. PROFITABLE and UNPROFITABLE servants (Matthew 2:!4-30)
major thoughts BORROWED FROM WIERSBE *43pesos per 1 dollar / Message Translation This parable shows us that each servant was given money (a talent was worth about twenty years wages) according to his ability. The man with much ability was given five thousand US dollars (215,000pesos*); the man with average ability received two thousand US dollars (86,000pesos); the man with minimal ability received one thousands US dollars (43,000pesos). The talents represent opportunities to use our abilities. We are living in the period of time between Matthew 25:18 and 19. We have been assigned our ministries according to the abilities and gifts God has given us. It is our privilege to serve the Lord and multiply His goods. The three servants fell into two categories: f__________ and u __________. The faithful servants took their talents and put them to work for their Lord. The unfaithful servant hid his talent in the earth. Instead of using his opportunities, he buried them! He did not purposely do evil. But by doing nothing, he was committing sin and robbing his Lord of s_____ and i__________. The two men who put their money to work each received the same commendation (Matthew 25:21, 23). It was not the portion but the proportion that made the difference. They started as s_____, but their Lord promoted them to r_____. They were faithful with a few things, so the Lord trusted them with many things. They had worked and toiled, and now they entered into joy. Their faithfulness gave each of them a capacity for greater service and responsibility. The third servant was unfaithful and therefore was unrewarded. Because this man was afraid he might fail, he never tried to succeed. He feared life and his responsibilities. This paralyzed him with anxiety, so he buried the talent to protect it. The least he could have done was put the money in a bank and collect some interest. There was no real risk in that. What we do not use for the Lord, we are in danger of losing. The master reprimanded the unfaithful, unprofitable servant, and then took his talent from him. The man with the most talents received the extra talent. The 3 parables (PARABLES IN THE CONTEXT OF MATTHEW 25) encourage us to love His appearing, look for His appearing, and labor faithfully until He comes. We should be w_____, w_______, and w_______. We may not be successful in the eyes of men, or even popular with others. But if we are faithful and profitable, we shall receive our reward. - additional thoughts: Jesus was hitting the IDEA of INCREASE, of PROFIT, of DOUBLING the INVESTMENT of God in you! This is about GAINING, MULTIPLICATION. =MAKING DISCIPLES is one of the best way to INCREASE the work of God== Do not just SERVE, but to SWERVE high!!! MAKE IT DOUBLE must have an increase, profit, or interest! DO NOT JUST USE WHAT YOU HAVE, BUT USE WHAT YOU HAVE TO GAIN MORE! LOSSES (waste / no risk taking involved / playing it safe) are BAWAL in the KINGDOM it should be REVENUE -- GAIN -- INCREASE! THIS IS A LESSON ON HAVING A MIND OF INVESTING ALWAYS. TO HAVE NO INVESTMENT MIND-SET is lazyness, dullness, wickedness :-) Well Done Good and Faithful servant -- MEANS THAT THERE WAS AN INCREASE DUE TO USAGE AND RISK TAKING! MAIN IDEA: "faithful service with the mindset of INCREASE do not bury, be in business; do not bury, be a broker; do not bury, barter it.. DO NOT BURY; bank it WITH basic increase yet! Have it borrowed WITH increase! Use to blowout it [with the intention to GAIN FRIENDS] cf Luke 16:9 NEVER BURY, never, ever make it cease! jr mamisok ka lang quotes MONEY should not just be spent, MONEY should be grown! WASTE not ... RATHER MAKE an INCREASE through INVESTMENTS!
