G.SHDSL HighSpeed Modem

FEATURES
Supports data rates from 64 up to 2048 kbps User interfaces are V.35/V.36 and E1, G.703/G.704 Selectable synchronous data rates of n x 64 kbps up to 2048 kbps allowing distribution of time slots between data and E1 port Complies with ITU-T G.991.2 recommendation Compatible with IERU DM 705 and 3rd party equipment Operates both as NTU and LTU Available as stand-alone and card version for DM R20 central rack mount. Supports several clocking schemes: Internal, External and Regenerated Remote management via HDLC or via SNMP when working in conjunction with IERU DM 705 Power supply covering from 36 to 72 VDC and 93 to 253 VAC, automatic selection.

DESCRIPTION
DM 991 is a cost-effective high-speed modem, up to 2048 kbps. The DM 991 complies with G.SHDSL, ITU-T G.991.2 recommendation, which is the most recent, highest-performance standard in the market today. TC-PAM type coding ensures spectral compatibility with other type of services like HDSL and ADSL. Also provides ranges 15 to 20% higher compared with modems utilizing 2B1Q modulation. Handshake according to G.994.1, which allows interoperability with 3 rd party equipment. Range from 6.3 km at 192 kbps, to 3.6 km at 2048 kbps over 0.4mm 2-wire. Available with 2 user interfaces, a V.35, V.36/V.11 and V.28 data port, and a E1, G.703/G.704 port. Any time slot not utilized by the E1 interface can be diverted to the data port for router connectivity. E1 port supports CRC4 according to G.704, CAS and provides local and remote frame synchronization indication. Allows programming for AIS (Alarm Indication Signal) sending over the E1 line in case of absence of signal in the line interface. Switch selectable V.35 or V.36/V.11 or V.28 interfaces on a DB25 connector. External adaptor cable ensures the correct interface required. The synchronous data ports can operate in the following clock modes: Internal, External or Recovered from the G.703 signal received (LBT) or from the G.SHDSL line. Automatic fallback to internal clock in case of failure of external or regenerated clock Fully configurable via RS-232 control port (DB9 connector in front panel Configurable for operation as exchange (LTU) or user (NTU) equipment. When operating as NTU no initial configuration is required. Diagnostic capabilities include user-activated local loop backs on the E1 and on the digital data port. A pseudo-random data pattern (BERT) can be activated and detected on the data channel and on the G.SHDSL line DM 991 is available as a stand-alone and rack versions. A rack-mount adaptor kit enables installation of one or two stand-alone units in a 19" rack. High-density central site solution with DM R20 rack mount, with SNMP management via DM G20 card. Supports up to 20 DM 991S cards.
