EVERYDAY PRAYERS

2,500 La-ilaha-ilAllah everyday. It's easy, if you're driving, walking, sitting in class bored. Just keep reciting
it.

Throughout the Month in the Day.

O Allah this is the month of Ramazan in which Thou revealed the Quran, a guidance for the mankind,
with evident demonstration and clear proofs leading to the Right Path, which also teach to distinguish
between good and evil. This is the month to keep fast, this is the month to act, this is the month to attend to
religious duties, this is the month to turn repentant to Allah, this is the month to get forgiveness and mercy,
this is the month to be set free from the flames of the Fire and to take possession of the Paradise, this is the
month in which the "Night of Qadr" occurs which is better than a thousand months. O Allah send blessings
on Muhammad (saw) and on the children of Muhammad (saw), and help me to keep fast and act rightly in
this month; keep it sound and safe for me and keep me in perfect condition for it; help me with Thy most
reliable support for carrying out its obligations and in this month let me become reconciled to Thy obedience
and to the obedience of Thy Messenger and Thy dearest friends, blessings of Allah be on them, let me have
enough time to carefully worship Thee, pray unto Thee and recite the verses of Thy Book. Multiply Thy
blessings, look after my welfare, keep me fit and well, give me enough means of livelihood, let my efforts bear
fruit, accept my prayers and let my hopes come true, in this month. O Allah send blessings on Muhammad
(saw) and on the children of Muhammad (saw), and let go lethargy, negligence, weariness, relaxedness,
roughness, forgetfulness, thoughtlessness, susceptibility to distraction, weakness, anxieties, sorrows,
stupidity, diseases, faults and mistakes, in this month. Also keep away from me evil, shamelessness, misery,
misfortunes, troubles and pains, verily Thou hears prayers. O Allah send blessings on Muhammad (saw) and
on the children of Muhammad (saw), and in this month shield me from the danger of the accursed devil and
his sting, slander, devilry, airs, diabolical suggestions, delaying tactics, obstinacy, cunning, traps, deceit,
fancies, seductions, mischief, confusion, and keep me aloof from his party, disciples, followers, friends,
comrades, and schemes. O Allah send blessings on Muhammad (saw) and on the children of Muhammad
(saw), and in this month give us strength to keep fast and act piously. Let hopes reach completion and stay as
such permanently, bring to perfection that which obtains Thy approval for me-self-control, discipline, faith
and belief, thereupon let them yield to me multiplying frequently a great reward it is; O Lord of the worlds.
O Allah send blessings on Muhammad (saw) and on the children of Muhammad (saw), give in answer to my
request a chance to perform Hajj and Umrah, ability to make effort, to grow strong, to be in readiness, to
attend to duties, to repent, to seek (Thy) nearness, to adopt popular good, to call fervently on Thee, to devote
myself to Thee, to solicit humbly, to submissive to be Thy servant, to have sincere intention, to possess
truthful tongue, to stand in awe of Thy majesty, to rely upon Thee for fulfilment of hopes, and to have
confidence in Thee, to lean on Thee, to abstain from the unlawful, to speak politely, to do that which is
allowed, to act in a manner which pleases Thee, to invoke Thee for acceptance of demands, please do not put
a barrier between me and things I have mentioned to stop them from becoming a reality; nor obscurity, nor
sadness, nor dejection, nor weakness, nor forgetfulness, nor delirium but bind me by contract of obligations
and make me stick to it for Thee, in Thy way, make available for me concessions Thou has a right to allow,
and fulfil Thy promise and undertaking through Thy mercy, O the Most Merciful. O Allah send blessings on
Muhammad (saw) and on the children of Muhammad (saw), and in this month allot for me the best that
which Thou distributes among Thy good servants, grant me the best that Thou gives as a gift to Thy dearest
friends from the boundless reservoir of Thy mercy, indulgence, compassion, approval, pardon, everlasting
tolerance, welfare, amnesty, freedom from the Fire, sanctuary of the Paradise, and good of this world and the
Hereafter. O Allah send blessings on Muhammad (saw) and on the children of Muhammad (saw), and in this
month let my prayers reach Thee, let Thy mercy and good obtain access to me by friendless, let my good
deeds get Thy approval, let my efforts be acknowledged, let my sins be forgiven, so that I may win my share
frequently in large quantity. O Allah send blessings on Muhammad (saw) and on the children of Muhammad
(saw), and in this month particularly choose for me the best circumstances during the "Night of Qadr", Thou
likes to provide for every one of Thy friends, and which, in Thy estimation are most agreeable, after that make
this night for me really more auspicious than a thousand months. Give me the best means of livelihood that
Thou might have given to any one, and which has reached him or her safely in good condition. Be kind, set
me free from the danger of hell and keep me away from its flames, and count me among the fortunate who
shall obtain Thy pleasure and protection, O the Most merciful. O Allah send blessings on Muhammad (saw)
and on the children of Muhammad (saw), and in this month prepare me to make efforts, to search, to be fit,
to be in high spirits, alert and agile, for doing that which Thou loves and likes. O Allah, the Lord of daybreak
and comforting nights, the Lord of the month of Ramazan and of what has been revealed in the Quran in this
month, the Lord of Jabraeel, Meekaaeel, Israafeel, Izraaeel and of all the Angels, the Lord of Ibraaheem
Ismaaaeel, Ishaaq, Yaaqoob, the Lord of Mosa, Eesaa and all the Messengers and Prophets, and the Lord of
Muhammad (saw), the Last Prophet, Thy blessings be on him and all of them. I beseech Thee in the name of
Thy claim over them and in the name of their privileges Thou gave them, and in the name of Thy exclusive
right (when Thou has blessed him and his children and all of them, and has treated me mercifully) to bless
and satisfy me a blessing that may not be revoked ever after. And give me all that I have asked for as a gift,
keep alive my longing, fulfil my desires, strengthen my will and intention. Keep away from me that which is
horrid and loathsome, frightening and dangerous, but keep me linked with that which does not threaten me.
Away from family, possession, brothers and children, O Allah, unto Thee we come fleeing from our sins, so
take us, the repentants, in under Thy shelter. Let us who ask for forgiveness be forgiven. Cover us, the seekers
of refuge, with protection. Let us who pray for safety be granted asylum. We, submissive, deserve
recompense. Do not let terror seize us. We long for peaceful sanctuary. We ask for rescue. Give to us this as a
gift. Verily Thou give favourable answer to the cry of help. Thou art close at hand. Thou gives positive answer.
O Allah Thou art my Lord. I am Thy servant. It is the prerogative of a servant to make a request to his Lord.
Thy servants do not turn to any one, like they do in Thy case, to ask for kindness and generosity. O the Last
court of appeal for lodging complaints! O the ultimate hope of those who desire satisfaction of wants and
needs! O He Who comes to help those who cry out for help! O He Who gives answer to the prayers of the
needy! O He Who gives asylum to those who seek refuge! O He Who brings assistance to those who call Him
for help! O He Who looks after the weak! O He Who unties the tightening rope of grief twisting around those
who are in pain and agony! O He Who dispels the clouds of sorrows from over the heads of those who are
surrounded by anguish! O He Who shall save from the anguish of the "Great event"! O Allah! O Beneficent! O
Merciful! O the Most Merciful! Send blessings on Muhammad (saw) and on the children of Muhammad
(saw), and overlook my transgressions, faults, abominations, ignorance, offences and violations with which I
corrupt my soul, and give me means of livelihood from Thy store of bounties and mercy because no one has
access to it other than Thee, forgive me and pardon me for all the past sins and keep a watch over me for the
rest of my life so that I may not fall a victim again. Lay Thy protective covering over me, and over my parents,
children, relatives and friends, and over those, from among the faithful men and faithful women, who made
efforts in my cause, in this world and in the Hereafter. It is all because of Thee. Thy protective covering is all
embracing. So do not disappoint me O My Master, do not reject my request, do not let me be seized by the
throat (die) unless that which I have asked for is accepted and put into effect, multiplied and augmented
though Thy super abundance, because verily Thou art able to do all things. We call humbly and fervently
upon Thee. O Allah all Thy names are beautiful, Thy allegorical attributes are sublime, greatest, and
matchless. I beseech Thee is Thy name "Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem", (if Thou has decided that in this
night (Qadr) the Angels and the Spirit descend therein) to send blessings on Muhammad (saw), and include
my name among those who are blessed, and my best blessing would be to be with those who strived in Thy
way and testified Thy truth with blood. For me the best favour would be a place at the summit, and
forgiveness of my sins. Give me the gift of belief, which will give me joy, heart and confidence. And give me
(thy) approval, which will become my destiny. Give me that which is good in this world and that which is
good in the Hereafter and save me from the torment of the Fire. If Thou does not settle my affairs favourably
in this night wherein the Angels and the Spirit descend therein, then which is the night when the delayed
action will be taken in my case? Enable me to remember, thank, obey and sincerely worship Thee, in this
night, and send blessings on Muhammad (saw) and on the children of Muhammad (saw), "The best
blessings" from Thee, O the Most Merciful, O the Unique, O eternally Independent, O Lord of Muhammad
(saw), today grow passionate for Muhammad (saw) and his pious children and wage war against their
enemies to disperse them, track them down one after the other, do not leave off till there is not a single one
from among them remains on the face of the earth, and do not ever, till eternity, spare them. O He Who is the
best company! O He Who is the Ultimate reliance of the Prophets! Thou art the Most Merciful, the first
before all, the original, like unto whom there is "no one", Everlasting, never neglectful, Ever-living, never
disappearing. Thou, every day, at all times, exercise (universal) power. Thou supported Muhammad (saw),
helped him and distinguished him above all. I beseech Thee to help the executor and vicegerent of
Muhammad (saw), who is the justly appointed guardian, belonging to the closely united group of his
successors, Thy blessings be on him and on all of them. Rush Thy support to them O "There is no god save
Thou" for the sake of "there is no god save Thou." Send Thy blessings on Muhammad (saw) and on the
children of Muhammad (saw) and keep me with them in this world and in the Hereafter and through thy
mercy and kindness let my affairs take the final shape, O the Most Merciful. Likewise Thou refer to Thyself, O
my Master, as kind and friendly, and indeed Thou art, so send blessings on Muhammad (saw) and on the
children of Muhammad (saw) and show thyself benevolent and favourable (to me) in whatever manner Thou
want. O Allah send blessings on Muhammad (saw) and on the children of Muhammad (saw) and provide me
enough durable means to go for Hajj and Umrah in this year and to meet all my wants and needs of this
world and the Hereafter.
Then say 3 times:
I seek forgiveness of Allah. I turn repentant unto Him. Verily my Lord is Nigh, Responsive. I seek forgiveness
of Allah, my Lord, and I turn repentant unto Him. Verily my Lord is Merciful, Loving. I seek forgiveness of
Allah, my Lord, and I turn repentant to Him. Verily He is Oft-Forgiving. O Allah forgive me. Verily Thou art
the best of all mercifuls who show mercy. O Lord I transgressed and wronged myself, so forgive me. Verily no
one can forgive sins except Thou. I seek forgiveness of Allah who is "There is no god save He", the Ever living,
the Eternal, the most Lenient Indulgent, the Compassionate Forgiver of all sins, I turn repentant to Him, I
seek Allahs forgiveness.
Then recite the following:
O Allah I beseech Thee to send blessings on Muhammad (saw) and on the children of Muhammad (saw), and
that which Thou has decided and made ready, through the unchallengeable commands, irrevocably, in the
"Night of Qadr", is a decision as well as an execution which, neither can be changed nor kept in abeyance, so
write down my name in the list of pilgrims who shall go to Thy "Sacred House" for Hajj, the pilgrims whose
performance of Hajj is appreciated, their efforts cut off their link with the sins and atone for their
wrongdoings. In this night please decide and make ready for me long life, enough means of livelihood, and it
is my wish that I pay back my debts and things deposited with me as a trust. So be it, O Lord of the worlds. O
Allah let happiness and freedom from care be my routine, and give me the daily bread from that which I can
compute and also from that which I cannot measure, and protect me through that which I watch over myself
and also through that which I cannot use for my safety, and send blessings on Muhammad (saw) and on the
children of Muhammad (saw), and thoroughly keep them in peace

Dua e- Iftitah

O Allah, I begin the glorification with praise of
Thee; Thou, from Thy bounties, gives out
freely the truth and salvation; I know for
certain that Thou art the most merciful in
disposition of forgiveness and mercy, [but]
very exacting at the time of giving exemplary
punishment and chastisement to wrongdoers,
the Omnipotent in the domain of absolute
power and might.
O Allah, Thou have given me permission to
invoke Thee and beseech Thee, so listen, O
Hearer, to my words of praise, and give a
favourable reply to my supplication, and
minimize my falling into misery, O the often-
forgiving.
O my Allah, many a trouble Thou hath
removed; many a sorrow hath Thou dispelled;
many a misery hath Thou mitigated; and at all
times Thou spreadeth out mercy, and cutteth
short the tightening circles of misfortunes.
All praise be to Allah, Who has not taken unto
Himself a wife, nor a son, and Who has no
partner in sovereignty, nor any protecting
friend through dependence. Magnify Him with
all magnificence.
All praise be to Allah, with full gratitude for all
his bounties.
All praise be to Allah, Who has no opposition to
His rule, nor any challenge to His commands.
All praise be to Allah, Who has no counsel to
meddle with His operation of creation, nor is
there anything similar to Him in His greatness.
All praise be to Allah, Whose commandments
operate in Creation; His glory is evident
through love and kindness.
His distinct overflowing generosity is freely
available through His unlimited bestowals
which do not exhaust His resources, and He
does not swell the numerous benefits except
because of generosity and kindness. Verily He
is mighty, generous.
O Allah, I ask for some from much, in the
midst of my very many needs for which I
entirely depend on Thee, and, since eternity,
Thou art able to do without it but for me it is a
titanic effort and for Thee is very easy and
simple.

O Allah, truly, when Thou pardon my sins,
overlook my mistakes, take a lenient view of
my disorderly conduct, cover up my foul
actions, show consideration in spite of my
many transgressions committed willfully or
negligently, I am tempted to ask for that which
I do not deserve, from Thee Who, through Thy
mercy, gives me the daily bread provides me
with that which is suitable for me, through Thy
control; and distinguishes me with a favourable
reply to my requests.
So I persist in calling out, believing in Thee,
and I invoke Thee, talking familiarly, not
afraid, nor shy, but assured of Thy love and
kindness whenever I turn to Thee
A temporary setback, and I, out of ignorance,
begin to despair, although perhaps slowing
down may be a blessing in disguise. because
Thou alone knows [all] the consequences. I
know no generous master who is more
accommodating to dissatisfied servants that
Thou art to me.
O Lord, Thou giveth an invitation but I turn it
down. Thou becometh familiar with me but I do
not care for Thee. Thou loveth me but I do not
correspond to Thee as if Thou are overreaching
me. Yet Thou do not abstain from bestowing
favours and blessings on me from Thy mercy
and generosity so have mercy on Thy ignorant
servant Verily Thou art generous and kind.
Praise be To Allah the owner of sovereignty,
Who sets the course of the skies and the stars
controls the winds, causes the daybreak, and
administers authority, the Lord of the worlds.
Praise be to Allah for His indulgence in the
wake of His all-awareness.
Praise be to Allah for His amnesty ensuing from
His omnipotence.
Praise be To Allah for the respite He allows In
spite of provocation.
He is able to do what He wills.
Praise be to Allah, the creator of all the created
beings, Who makes sustenance freely
available, starts the day, the owner of glory,
might, favours, and bounties, Who is far away,
invisible, and nearest, so near that He is fully
aware of the whispered secrets, the Blessed,
the Praised.
Praise be to Allah, Who has no equal to
challenge Him, nor is there an image
comparable to Him, nor a helper to assist Him.
He tames the powerful by His force, and
disgraced are the terrible before His greatness;
so He, through His power, fulfils that which He
wills.

Praise be to Allah, Who gives answer to me
whenever I call Him; covers up my
shortcomings yet I disobey Him; gives me the
largest part of the bounties yet I want more.
Many favours He has sanctioned; many terrible
dangers He has averted; and many blossoming
joys he has made available for me. Therefore, I
sing His praises and recite His glorifications.
Praise be to Allah. None can disclose anything
hidden by Him; none can shut the doors kept
open by Him; no one who makes a request is
sent away disappointed by Him; and no one
who looks long and attentively is deluded in his
hopes.
Praise be to Allah, Who gives protection to the
frightened; comes to the help of the upright;
promotes the cause of the weak and the
enslaved; annihilates the autocrats; destroys
rulers and appoints the 'awaited savours' in
their place.
Praise be to Allah, Who breaks everything
belonging to the oppressors; puts an end to
the tyrants; watches over the fugitives; brings
assistance to those who cry out for help; meets
and clears up the demands of the needy
beseechers; supports the faithful.
Praise be to Allah. In his awe-inspiring fear the
heavens and its dwellers tremble and shiver;
the earth and its inhabitants shake and quiver;
the oceans and all that floats and swims in its
waters flow together in excitement and tumult.
Praise be to Allah, Who has guided us to this.
We could not truly have been led aright if Allah
had not guided us.
Praise be to Allah, Who creates but is not
created; gives subsistence but needs no
provisions; gives food to eat but takes no
nourishment; makes the living dead and brings
the dead to life; and He is the everliving, there
is no death for Him; in His hands is all the
good.
And He is able to do all things. O Allah, send
blessings on Muhammad, Thy servant,
Messenger, confidant, friend, beloved intimate,
mercy unto all the created beings, bearer of
Thy sacraments, quotient of Thy messengers,
the most superior, the exquisite, the most
handsome, the most perfect, the upright, the
more prospering, the more pleasant, the
thoroughly purified, the sublime; who has
more and better blessings, advantages,
mercies, affections and salutations than Thou
made available to any one of Thy servants,
prophets, messengers, friends, and those
honoured by Thee from among Thy created
being.

O Allah send blessings on 'Ali the Leader of the
Faithful, the successor to the Messenger of the
Lord of the worlds, Thy servant, Thy beloved
representative, brother of Thy Messenger, Thy
decisive argument over mankind, Thy most
important sign, the great news from Thee.
O Allah, send blessings on the truthful pure
Fatima, the chosen leader of the women of the
worlds.
O Allah, send blessings on the sons of 'the
mercy unto the worlds', the leaders and
guides, the Imams al-Hasan and al-Husayn,
the leaders of the dwellers of Paradise.
O Allah, send blessings on the Leaders of the
Muslims, 'Ali ibn al-Husayn, Muhammad ibn
'Ali, Jafar ibn Muhammad, Musa ibn Jafar, 'Ali
ibn Musa, Muhammad ibn'Ali, 'Ali ibn
Muhammad, al-Hasan ibn'Ali, and his son, the
rightly guided Guide, Thy decisive argument
over Thy servants, Thy trustworthy confidant
on Thy earth; blessings, numerous, and for
ever.
O Allah, send blessings on the Custodian of thy
commandments, the vigilant Guardian, the
reliable Patron, the awaited Justice,
surrounded by Thy favourite angels, assisted
by the Holy Spirit.
O Lord of the worlds. O Allah, send him to call
the people unto Thy Book for establishing Thy
religion, and make him succeed in the earth,
as Thou caused those who were before him to
succeed, and establish for him his faith which
Thou has approved for him, and give him in
exchange safety after fear. He serves Thee.
He ascribes nothing as partner unto Thee.
O Allah, give him power and authority, and
through him strengthen the people. Give him
the necessary assistance, and through him
support the people, and make him prevail over
allya final decisive victory, and delegate him
Thy controlling authority.
O Allah, give currency to Thy religion, and the
way of life of Thy Prophet, through him till
nothing which is just and genuine is kept
concealed from any human being.
O Allah, we ardently desire that in [his] kind,
just, and fair era, Thou should reactivate Islam
and stimulate its followers, and humble and
humiliate the imposters and their double-
dealing, and include us among those who invite
people unto Thy obedience, and lead them to
Thy approved path, and give us the good of
this world and the world to come.

O Allah, let us bear out and hold up that which
Thou maketh known to us as the truth, and let
us be fully aware of that which we fall short of
doing.
O Allah, through him, set in order our disorder;
gather and unite our flock; stitch together our
sundered separation; turn our want and
poverty into sufficiency; lift us up from our
degradation; free us from our misery; pull us
out from our debts; help us to get out from the
ditch of cares and sorrows; fill the gap created
by confusion among us; let our difficulties be
easy to deal with; refine our substance and
style; untie our ropes and straps; let our
efforts succeed well and secure success; make
us fulfill our promises; give answers to our
prayers; listen to our requests; cause us to
obtain the good of this world and the
hereafter; give us much and more than our
expectations, O the best of givers and
bestowers; and cleanse our hearts, unburden
our emotions from hate and anger, and, in the
event of dispute in the matter of truth, show us
the right path.
Verily, Thou guides whoever Thou will to the
right path. Let us, through him, get the better
of Thy enemies and our opponents, O True
God. Be it so.
O Allah, we feel uneasy about and are
disturbed by the departure of our Prophet, Thy
blessings be on him and on his family, the
absence of our guardian-friend, too many
enemies, our numerical scarcity, widespread
disorder, and the vicissitudes of time.
So send blessings on Muhammad and on his
family, and help us to overcome this state of
affairs at once.
Disperse the ominous clouds hanging over our
heads; lend a helping hand to achieve success;
bring in the rule of justice and fair play; make
us bright, free from grief; and take care of us.
Through Thy mercy, O most Merciful.

The A'maal of Shab-e-Qadr (19th, 21st& 23rd of Ramazan)

Shab-e-Qadr is the night, which is the best night among the nights of the whole year. The "A'maal"
(religious performances) of this night are better than the A'maal of 1000 months. In this night the divine
Annual Decree is passed. The Angels and Roohul Ameen (A highly dignified Angel) descend on this earth, in
that night. These call on the Imam of the time, and what is ordained (by Allah) for everybody is presented
before the Imam.

The common A'maals are: -

1. To take a bath. Allama Majlisi says, "It is better to take a bath before sunset so that the night prayers
may be performed after bath".

2. To offer two Raqats of Namaz, in every Raqat offer Surat-al-Hamd, and Surat-al-Tawhid/Ikhlaas
seven times, and after finishing the prayer 70 times recite: "Astagferullaah Rabbi Wa atoobo elaihe"
i.e., "I seek pardon from God and ask for penitence from Him".

3. The Holy Qur'an should be opened and placed in front, then one should recite the following:

O Allah treat me as one of those who are
free from Hell, in the name of this Holy Book
sent by Thee, whatever there be in the Book.
Including Ism-e-A'azam and Asmaa-e-
Husnaa and the things to be dreaded, the
things that may be expected and desired,
like blessings of J annat. Do forgive through
the grace of this book

"Alaahumma inni asaloka be kitaabekal munzale Wa maa feeh, wa feehismokal akbaro wa asmaakal
husnaa, wa maa yokhaafo Wa yurjaa an taj-alani min otaqaaeka minan-Naar",

(SALAWAT-After this he may Beseech from Allah whatever he wants).

4. He should place the Holy Qur'an on his head and say the following

O Allah! I appeal to Thee in the name of this
Qur'an and the Rooh that was sent along with
it, and in the name of the Momin (believer)
whose praise is contained in this Book and
Tine obligation that is on them. No one else
recognizes the right and truth more than Thee

"Allaahumma be haqqe haazal Qur'an we be haqqe man arsaltahoo beh, Wa be haqqe kulle momenin
madahtahoo feeh, we be haqqeka alaihim fa-laa ahada a'arafo be haqqeka mink"

(SALAWAT-After this he should repeat the following 10 times each):

1. BEKA YA ALLAH'HO (S.W.T.)

2. BE MOHAMMADIN (S.A.W.)

3. BE ALIYYIN (A.S.)

4. BE FATEMATA (A.S.)

5. BIL HASANE (A.S.) BIL HUSAINE (A.S.)

6. BE ALIY IBNIL HUSAIN (A.S.)

7. BE MOHAMMED IBN ALIYYIN (A.S.)

8. BE J A'FAR IBN MOHAMMEDIN (A.S.)

9. BE MOOSA IBN J A'FAR (A.S.)

10. BE ALI IBN MOOSA (A.S.)

11. BE MOHAMMED IBN ALIYYIN (A.S.)

12. BE ALI IBN MOHAMMED (A.S.)

13. BIL HASAN IBN ALIYYIN (A.S.)

14. BIL HOJ J ATIL QAEM (A.T.F.)

5. To recite the Ziarat of Imam Hussain (A.S.). According to Hadis, during Shab-e-Qadr an angel
proclaims from the Arsh (Throne) on the Seventh sky, "Allah the Benevolent forgives him, whosoever
performs the Ziarat of the grave of Imam-e-Hussain (A.S.)."

6. One should keep himself awake throughout these three nights. The vigil during these nights carries
great Sawab (heavenly reward).

7. To offer 100 Raq'ats of Namaz. It has been highly recommended. It is better to recite (after Surat-al-
Hamd) 10 times the Surat-al-Tauhid/ Sure Ikhlaas (Kulhowallah).

8. Recite: "Astagferullaah Rabbi Wa atoobo elaihe" 100 times (i.e., "I seek pardon from God and ask for
penitence from Him").

9. Recite: "Allaahummal'an qatalatal Ameeril Momeneen" 100 times (i.e., "O Allah! Thy malison upon
the assassin of Ameerul Moineneen Ali ibne Abi Talib").

10. Give Sadqa/charity

11. Recite Dua Nudba & Remember Imam e zamana (atfs) much throughout the night

12. Seek forgiveness & Recite Dua Kumail & Dua Tawba

Duas f or t he 19t h ni ght

1. O One Who was before everything and then brought everything into existence. He will remain while all
else will be destroyed. O the one sole and solitary excepting Whom there is none else in the high heavens
or low earths or above and below them, or in between them who is worth worshipping. Only Thou art the
deity and none else deserves to be worshipped. Thou only deserves the praise which cannot be
encompassed but by Thee. Therefore bestow Peace and Blessings on Muhammad (saw) (S.A.W.) and
Aal-e-Muhammad (saw) (A.S.) such as no body else has the power to encompass.

2.

O Allah! Whatever is decided and ordained by Thee
during Lailatul Qadr (night of Destiny) is final and full
of wisdom. Whatever changes are affected, in the
Night in previous decrees that could not be changed
by anybody else. Do let me be one of those whose
Hajj is acceptable, whose efforts are rewarded, the
efforts of those respected Hajis whose sins have
been pardoned and whose errors have been
forgiven. Add to my destiny the length of my life,
increase my life, increase my livelihood and fulfill my
desires.

After Dua: Beseech from Allah your Hajaats

3. O Allah, while taking decisions and rendering possible things and events decisively and determining a
rational and sensible course of affairs in the Night of Qadr (which cannot be changed or bypassed), write
my name in the list of those pilgrims of Thy Sacred House whose pilgrimage receive Thy approval,
whose efforts are appreciated, whose sins are forgiven, whose wrongdoings are overlooked; and, while
taking decisions and rendering possible things and events, make possible for me a long life and enough
means of livelihood, and fulfill (Mentionk your legitimate desires)

Duas f or t he 21st ni ght :

1.

O One Who turns day into night and night into day.
O One Who brings out living from dead and dead
from living. O One Who gives sustenance to
whomsoever and whatsoever he likes. O Allah! O
Merciful! O Allah! O Allah! O Allah! The best names
are for Thee alone. The best examples are for Thee.
The grandeur and choice things are for Thee. I beg
of Thee to bless Muhammad (S.A.W.) and his Aal
(A.S.). Write down my name, in this night with the
fortunate ones. Let my soul be in the company of
the martyrs. Let my good acts be reckoned as
"Illyeen" (exalted). Let my sins be condoned.
Bestow on me that belief by virtue of which Thou
may be nearest to my heart, that "Eemaan" which
may remove all doubts from my mind. Let me be
satisfied with that whatever Thou hast ordained for
me. Let me have the virtues of this world and the
other one (Aakherat or Hereafter). Save me from the
fire of Hell. Let me be attentive to Tine praise and
thanks and let me present myself in Tine court. Do
bestow the same "taufique" (ability) to me, which
Thou hast bestowed upon Muhammad (S.A.W.) and
his Aal (A.S.).

2. Allah (swt) send blessings on Muhammad (saw) and on the children of Muhammad (saw), and
inculcate maturity (of thought and action) in me so that it stops me at the gate of ignorance; help me
with guidance to cut off all links with every type of waywardness; let me have enough means to
barricade the gaps of poverty, give me strength to avert weakness; raise me to noble heights to abstain
from anything low and mean; let me reach higher regions to leave behind humiliation; take me to
peaceful sanctuary to remain safe from all terrors; cover me with safety to shield from the impact of all
calamities; open my mind with knowledge to cultivate sure belief; let me be certain of the indubitable
truth to dispel all doubts; stimulate me to make use of prayer to draw Thy attention for fulfillment (of
my desires) in this night, (in fact) at this very moment. O Generous Giver; put fear (of the
consequences of breaking Thy laws) in my heart to deserve (Thy) all-embracing mercy; preserve
incorruptible integrity in me so that it puts a barrier between me and wrongdoing till I reach the
sanctuary of all (14) Infallibles (as), to be presented before Thee for obtaining Thy mercy, O the Most
Merciful.

3. O (One) who causes the night to pass into the day, and the day to pass into the night. O (One) who
brings forth the living from the dead, and brings forth the dead from the living. O the Provider of
sustenance for whoever He pleases, without measure. O Allah, O Beneficent, O Allah, O Merciful. O
Allah, O Allah, O Allah, You have the most beautiful names, the highest examples, the grandeur, the
bounties. I beseech You to, bless Muhammad (saw) and the family of Muhammad (saw), and place my
name, in this night, among the fortunate, and my soul among the martyrs, let my good deeds be
(written) in the 'Illiyyin (Book of the virtuous), and my evil deeds be forgiven. (And I beseech You to)
grant me a certainty, which gives joy to my heart, and a faith, which drives doubt away from me, and
make me pleased with what you have granted me. (And I beseech You to) Give us good in this world,
and good in the Hereafter, and save us from the punishment of the burning fire.(HQ 2:201) (And I
beseech You to) grant me in it (Laylatul Qadr) Your remembrance, and Your gratitude, and desire for
(pleasing) You, turning (to You for repentance), and success, for all that You have granted Muhammad
and his family, peace be on him and on

Duas f or t he 23r d ni ght :

1.

O Lord of Lailatul Qadr! (Night of Destiny!)
Who has made it better than 1000 months! O
the Lord of the day and the night and the
mountains and oceans, the Lord of light and
darkness! O the Lord of the earth and the
skies! O the Creator! O the Designer! O Kind!
O One Who favours! O Allah Who maintains
everything! O Allah! O the Kindest! O Allah! O
the Creator of new things! O Allah! O Allah! O
Allah! The best names are for Thee alone.
Thou hast control over all virtues. I ask Thee
to send blessings on Muhammad (S.A.W.) and
his Aal (A.S.). Write my name, in this Night of
Qadr, among the names of the fortunate. Let
my soul keep the company of the martyrs. Let
my good deeds be reckoned with "Illiyeen"
(those exalted). Forgive my sins. Bestow on
me such belief that Thou may be nearest to
my heart. Give me such understanding that all
the doubts may be removed. Let me be
contended over that which has been ordained
for me: Let me have goodness and virtues in
this world and the next. Save me from the
glowing fire of Hell. Encourage me towards
Tine remembrance with pleasure and to be
penitent. Give me all those virtues that Thou
hast given to Muhammad (S.A.W.) and Aal-e-
Muhammad (A.S.).

2. O Allah, bless Muhammad (saw) and the family of Muhammad (saw). O Lord of Laylatul Qadr (night of
power), who has made it better than a thousand months. O Lord of the night and the day, of the
mountains and the seas, of darkness and light, and the earth and the sky. O the Originator, the
Designer, The Affectionate, the Gracious. O Allah, the Beneficent, O Allah, the Everlasting, O Allah, O
(the) Maker, O Allah, O Allah, O Allah, You have the most beautiful names, the highest examples, the
grandeur, the bounties. I beseech You to, bless Muhammad (saw) and the family of Muhammad (saw),
and place my name, in this night, among the fortunate, and my soul among the martyrs, let my good
deeds be (written) in the 'Illiyyin (Book of the virtuous), and my evil deeds be forgiven. (And I beseech
You to ) grant me a certainty which gives joy to my heart, and a faith which drives doubt away from me,
and make me pleased with what You have granted me. (And I beseech You to) Give us good in this
world, and good in the Hereafter, and save us from the punishment of the burning fire. (HQ 2:201) (And
I beseech You to) grant me in it (Laylatul Qadr) Your rememberance, and Your gratitude, and desire for
(pleasing) You, turning (to You for repentance), and success, for all that You have granted Muhammad
and his family, peace be on him and on them

3. O Allah say Be for Thy dearest representative, Al Hujjat bin Hasan (Thy blessings be on him and on
his forefathers now and at all times) so that he comes back as a friend, guardian, leader, helper, guide,
and model, to spread harmony and happiness in this world for ever.

4. O Director of (all) affairs! O Resurrector of the dead (resting in graves)! O He who makes rivers flow!
O He who softened the iron for Dawood! Send blessings on Muhammad (saw) and on the children of
Muhammad; and do for me (mention your legitimate desires).

5. O Allah prolong my life span, increase my means of livelihood, keep my body in sound condition, fulfill
my desires. If I am to be thrown into calamities, cancel my entanglement with such misfortunes, and
write my name in the list of those who have been blessed to be fortunate, because Thou has said in Thy
Book, revealed to Thy commissioned Prophet (Thy blessings be on him and on his children), Allah
cancels what He wills, and confirms (what He wills); and with Him is source of the Book (ordinance).

6. O Allah at the time of taking decisions and rendering possible things and events decisively (decisions
which cannot be changed or bypassed but can be kept in abeyance on account of the all-wise operation
of laws made by Thee), in the night of Qadr, write my name in the list of those pilgrims of Thy Sacred
House whose pilgrimage receive Thy approval, whose wrongdoings are overlooked, and while making
decisions and rendering possible things and events, make possible for me long life, and enough means
of livelihood.

7. O intrinsic Fundamental (Secret) evident in His exposed intelligible expression (manifest), and O
Rational Exposition (Manifest) leading to His genuine quintessential (secret). O Innate Unseeable but not
unintelligible. O Expressive exposition but not seeable. O He who is distinguished by qualities but no
description points out His Being, nor any definition defines Him. O He who is transcendental but not
missing. O He who is present but not perceivable! No sooner He is longed for (remembered) He reaches
to pay attention. At no time, even for a flash of the eyelids (lesser than that), the heavens and the earth
and that which is between them is empty of His presence. There is no way to know how is He, nor find
out where is He, nor say why is He. Thou art the Light of every light, and the Lord of the lords, Thou
controls every aspect of all phenomena. Glory be to He like unto whom there is nothing. He is Hearing,
Seeing. Glory be to He who is just like that, and is not just like that anyone other than He.

On 23rd night: Recite the following Surahs from the Holy Qur'an:

1. Ankabut (the Spider) 29th Sura.
2. Room (The Roman Empire) 30th Sura.
3. Dukhan (Smoke or Mist) 44th Sura.
