How to make simple personal bible study

and share it with others

I am glad that you are committed to studying God's word and effecting to share the word of God to
others but as a well wisher I am suggesting following important instruction before you start sharing
word of God with others

Before knowing anything else, first you must remember one thing for sure, that is, Bible does not
contains word of God but Bible is the word of God. It means, all the words of bible is God's inspired
word! or actual word of God, therefore well care must be taken to understand its actual meaning and
share it with others.

To illustrate:

Read carefully following scripture

Mat 24:13 But the person who endures to the end will be saved.

Q. What is the meaning of this particular bible verse?

Some believes it means, No matter what problems or trouble occurs, one must not leave the Christian
faith or backslide from Christ but do you know? thou it sounds good meaning and very interesting one
but the actual meaning varies!

Matthew 24 & 25 chapters actually Jesus speaking about end days prophecy, or the period of 7 year
tribulation or anti-Christ period. it means Matt 24:13 conveys following meaning, in anti-Christ period,
he will give lot of pain and trouble to godly people during his age, bible says some people will turn
back from faith and receive anti-Christ's mark in their hand or forehead, therefore Jesus says, the
person who endures to the end will be saved! you this verse does not speak or applied to our period or
days. but this verse' actual meaning applied to future Christian or Jews. Of course we can take it's
application such as enduring in Christian faith is must.

Likewise, we must first study the actual meaning of the scripture and convey that actual meaning to
others and of course applying it to our own lives. Because salvation comes only through actual blood of
Christ, actual word of God and actual work of Holy Spirit.

Why we have to be very serious in studying God's word because Word of God is like consuming fire, if
we don't handle it properly then it will destroy us! Not only the person who preaches wrongly but also
the people who hears wrongly! Sometimes Satan may take advantage of wrong meaning and try to do
some false miracle or through his cunningness he could lead people away from proper faith, we see this
indication through people witnessing miracles happening in their lives but yet if we focus their life
closely, we could find they are still continuing in sinful life! These kind happens when we as a
responsible children of God, don't preach the actual word of God. Well we all know only actual word of
God can change the sinful sinner's heart!

I encourage you to study word of God and share with others what God has taught you but be careful in
doing so! because in James 3:1 says: “My friends, we should not all try to become teachers. In fact,
teachers will be judged more strictly than others.”
Beloved as a God's servant I am compel to instruct all these instruction to you whether you like it or
not! but i must warn you and encourage you to grow up in the Lord properly and make you as Christ
disciple to do his will in your life.

First you must do a good practice of personal study and master its meaning. Afterwards share your
personal study with others.

Here I am write you four simple way to understand scripture and use it in your every day life!

4 simple steps:

1. Reading the scripture

• Reading by yourself the scripture is very important
• Read slowly and carefully that you may not skip or miss anything in the particular bible
passage.
• Read the bible which is easy for you to understand, for example most easier version of bible is,
(1) Bible in basic English translation (2) Contemporary English Version (3) Good News Bible
(4) God's word bible. along with these bibles you can also keep some standard bible like KJV,
NIV, ASV, ESV, ISV, RV, extra...
• In reading bible please don't see prestige, for some people want to read only King James
Version bible because they want to show off how much strong English they are to speak and
read! Don't follow such people and after all our aim is to understand the scripture and use it in
our day to day life.

2. Observe the scripture

• Second step is very important to handle 3rd step.
• Observing scripture means, observing what is there and what is not in the scripture?
• for example read following scripture: John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth,
and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
• After reading note down all the points, person, objects, and all others matter it talks about. Here
is the few observation:
> person who speaks here is Jesus.
> and he speaks about way, truth and life,
> and also he speaks about Father,
• You see these are the topic or subjects covers in John 14:6, this practice called observation, it is
impossible to understand scripture without proper observation. In fact frankly speaking perfect
understanding comes through perfect observation.

3. Understand the scripture

• Third step is important for 4th step

• Understanding scripture means: Understand what it means?
• we have already observed what is there in John 14:6, and made a list of all topics, and now it is
time for us to understand, what is the meaning of the particular scripture? i.e. john 14:6.
• According to Jesus, if any one want to come to the father it is only through him, because he says
I am the only way, the only truth and the only life and none else, therefore to come to father or
to true God I am the only chance or way.
4. Apply the scripture

• Fourth step is most important because in this we going use this scripture in our life
• Apply scripture means: what ever the truth we learned from bible, we should take it in our daily
life and live according to it.
• What is the use of read bible if we don't apply its truth to our life, and how can be one reap
without sowing in our heart the word of God? Or in other word how can one receive bible's
blessing without believing and following bible message or words?
• For example, how to apply the John 14:6? (here write down how we should follow this scripture
in our life?)
You see the through observation and Understanding we understood,
> Jesus is the only way, only truth and only life. And way to father is one-way or only one
route, that is Jesus Christ our Lord.
> Jesus says, I am the truth it means, jesus is the only truth, all other are lies or false, if one does
not follow Christ truth in his life, then he must be living in lies according to Jesus statement.
And everyone know only truth can set free not lies!
> you see three logical factor or truth it contain in Jesus words, way, truth and life! Let me
explain you in simple way, A way should have truth in it and a truth should have life in it! Then
it becomes perfect meaning and worthwhile in following or walking in it.
> it means, if one follows Christ's way, he is doing a perfect thing in his life and it will be
profitable to his soul and it is eternal gain.
Then why delay? Who knows when death can take us before the judgment seat of God? Before
your chance taken away, submit your life to God and receive Jesus Christ in your heart today, if
you want to the Way, Truth and Life of Christ for your dying soul?

Note: thou perfect understanding comes through perfect observation. But in the matter of God's holy
word it is not just possible to obtain God intended meaning without depending on Holy Spirit
assistance. Therefore it is essential before you start reading or preparing personal bible study, start up
with word of prayer and depend upon God for the truth.

Eventually Always remember one truth my dear reader, It is not how much deep we go into the bible
meaning and understand the scripture matters more but what matters most is how much deep we follow
the word of God in our lives, that will change our way, life and takes us to the eternal life!
