Installing the Clarity/Microsoft Interface

The Clarity/Microsoft interface must be installed before projects that are stored in Clarity
can be managed in Microsoft Project (MSP). The interface comes with each Clarity
instance and should be installed or reinstalled each time the instance is changed.

The following are instructions for the installation of the interface:

1. In Clarity, select Account Settings from the Personal section of the menu on
the left side of the screen.

2. The Software Downloads section will be displayed.

3. Click Download next to Clarity Microsoft Project Interface to begin the download
process.

4. The mspsetup.exe file can be saved and then run later or it can be run from the
downloader directly.

5. When the executable is run, a language choice is made then the Setup Wizard
will run.

6. Select Next to begin the installation process.

7. On the next screen click Next to accept the default file location and on the next
screen, the wizard will ask you to begin the installation by clicking install.

8. Setup will install both the MSP Interface setup and Clarity Schedule Connect
setup, and launch each of them one at a time.

9. Allow both of them to install.

10. When both installations are complete, navigate to the C:\Program

Files\CA\Clarity\MSPInterface\data. Inside this folder will be a macro titled
MSPAdd2K.mpp. Double click on the macro and MSP will open and the macro
will run.

Notes:  MSP Macro Security Setting must not be set to HIGH or the
macro will not run
 If the macro produces a warning message, select Enable Macro
in response.

11. The macro will install the Clarity toolbar undet the main toolbar in MSP.

12. When prompted whether a menu or a toolbar is desired, select Toolbar.

13. The toolbar should now be installed.

14. To verify that the interface global.mpt file is stored locally, exit MSP then restart
it. The Clarity Integration toolbar should still be there.
