Furthermore, the public comment period on the Draft Scoping Report and its accompanying reports for the WUC EIA has
been extended by a week to Friday, 24 July 2009.
We would like to thank once again the many landowners, authorities and other stakeholders who have thus far
contributed to the EIA and who have set aside time to meet with the EIA team. Your comments have been most valuable,
and have not only influenced the alignments of the various pipeline routes, but also the terms of reference of the EIA
specialist studies. We confirm again that the Draft Scoping Report will not be the last opportunity for stakeholders to
comment. The findings of the EIA will be captured in a Draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR), which will be available
for public comment in August 2009.
Please contact either myself or Mabel Qinisile if you require any further information at this stage.
We look forward to receiving your final comments on the Draft Scoping Report and accompanying reports by Friday, 24
July 2009.
Yours sincerely
VANESSA VILJOEN
