First Announcement and Call for Papers for

The third symposium on Carbon Nanoforms

Madrid Institute for Advanced Studies in Nanoscience (IMDEA-Nanoscience) Madrid, Spain September 26-27, 2013 The Organizing Committee invites you to participate in the third symposium on Carbon Nanoforms, organized within the Strategic Japanese-Spanish Cooperative Programme on Nanotechnologies and new materials for environmental challenges. MAIN TOPICS Researchers involved in fullerenes, carbon nanotubes and graphene science, are cordially invited to participate. Specifically, electrochemistry, photochemistry, electron transfer chemistry, photoelectrochemistry, electron microscopy, photovoltaic applications, catalysis, sensor studies and applications of all carbon nanoforms (carbon nanotubes, organofullerenes, electroactive fullerenes, supramolecular fullerenes, organometallic fullerenes, endohedral fullerenes, fullerene films and composites) are topics of particular interest. VENUE The symposium will be held at the brand new IMDEA-Nanoscience Institute. Upon submission, please indicate the type of presentation preferred from Oral, Poster or Either. The abstracts will be reviewed by the Organizing Committee, and will be assigned to oral presentations and poster presentations. Even if you prefer an oral presentation, your contribution may be assigned to a poster presentation due to scientific reasons and the limited number of oral presentations possible. A notification of the result will be sent to the presenting author by e-mail before September 16, 2013. How to prepare oral and poster presentations will be announced when the conference comes closer. Instructions for Authors Abstracts must be submitted as PDF files of camera-ready versions so that they should be published in an abstract book distributed to participants. Please use the template in the last page for preparing your abstract, and convert the manuscript into a PDF format before online submission. 1) The abstract should be written in English, and should not be longer than one page. Print all text in a single-column format. 2) Prepare all text and figures in black and white. 3) Use standard fonts such as Times New Roman, 11 points for text. 4) Center the title of the presentation along with authors names and their affiliations at the top of the abstract. 5) Title should be typed in bold, 12-point font with initial capitals. Authors should be listed consecutively by initials and last name. Identify the presenting author by underlining the name. Affiliation should be indicated with superscripted suffix Arabic numerals or symbol.
