WE LEAD 2 WONDERFUL RETREATS THIS MONTH: ON THE LEFT THE SGA CONNEXIONS WORKSHOP AND ON THE RIGHT OUR SPIRITUAL RENEWAL RETREAT.

Growing Leaders who Impact Others.

The SGA Connexions Model is one that Jerry has been teaching throughout Brazil for the past several years. This is a holistic model for training leaders which utilizes information, experience, relationships and spiritual connection. workshop focused on examples and hands-on planning for transformational learning experiences in the areas of interest of each participant. Some worked on training elders, others on training teenagers, still others on womens ministries and some on training leaders in their congregations. participants to take this training to others in their regions. Our goal is to train and equip ministers and church leaders who have the character and the healthy relationships needed for life-long ministry. Cities represented: Itu, So Paulo, Campo Grande,Vitoria, Rio, Braslia, Araguaina, TO, and Dallas, USA.

This workshop was attended by 25 people from 8 cities who have already been exposed to the model and wanted Many wonderful projects were to go deeper. This intense 4 day generated and we expect these

Caring for the Care-Givers

This years Spiritual Renewal Retreat was attended by 10 couples specically picked to carry the message of self-care and minister care to their regions. Couples from 6 cities represented the southwest, northeast, central, and western regions. We create an atmosphere where these ministers can share their own stories. Usually they are the ones listening to someone elses story! We give them daily time to walk with and listen to God. Usually they are so busy they have to spend this time preparing classes or ministering to others. We give them time to experience new ways to approach Gods word and prayer. They spend time praying over each other. They spend time playing and laughing together. It is a time of deep refreshment for weary souls. At this particular retreat, our last one of its kind as we leave Brazil, we invited these couples join us in our vision. They will be planning 2 retreats for next year. One will be held in So Paulo and the other in Recife. If God allows, we hope to come back to participate in these retreats in March of 2014. If we cant, we feel we have trained a very good group of people to continue our mission to take care of those who care for others. We pray that this movement will bring about a paradigm shift here in Brazil. Changing the mentality of how workers should be cared for and supported nancially so that they can serve for many years. The church needs these talented people, but they often leave the ministry because they do not have adequate funding nor support system. We lift up also, those who have secular jobs, but give most of their off hours to serving His church. Please pray with us for these couples and others who will continue this service to His faithful workers. Pray especially for next years retreats, which will be open to up to 30 couples, since we have more equipped facilitators!

Itu Family News: This month we witnessed the birth of 4 new babes in Christ. Please be in prayer as they grow and are nurtured by the congrega?on here. Heiderich Family News: Our son and daughter-in-law, Kris and Karli are expecting
their rst child in March! We get to be grandparents again! Moving plans are underway, even as we continue to work here in Brazil on several events and projects. We will be arriving in the US on December 19th. Please pray with us as we face this huge transition in our lives. We are torn as we think about leaving this country and these people. God has truly blessed us with this ministry and we thank each of you who have been an integral part of it all. We will need your support in the next phase of our lives as well. Pray for jobs! Thanks!
