The Concept of Time

The Concept of Time

Under Guidance of my Guru, Paramahansa Yogananda Ji, I hereby postulate the concept of Time.

Time is the most interesting dimension of life and it is the centre of life’s existence.

Human mankind has tried to tamper with almost all rules made by God. The rules of Time have
fortunately been untouched and this is the reason that mankind is still into existence.

The concept of Time is postulated in the following principals:

The Principal of Accountancy

Time is the measure of Life and every act done by every one is recorded. Please keep in mind that
what ever you do is being recorded into eternity. You may forget but the Time Keeper will remember
forever. He is watching you and recording everything. Each action is recorded, Each inaction is
recorded as well.

The Principal of Permanency

Whatever is once recorded, can never be erased. Please remember this. Forgetting does not mean
erasure.

The Principal of Non Creatibility

Time is endless, yet it is limited for each one of us. We cannot create Time. We were created within
time. People like us may come and go within the annals of time. We will not be able to create any
extra time.

The Principal of Measurability

You can measure time relative to other creations made by God such as the Sun, the Moon and the
stars. This is a relative measure only.

The Principal of Banking

Each one of us in the morning is given the equivalent amount of Time balance in our Time Bank. The
measure of Time is called moments. Each one of us gets exactly the same moments in our Time
Bank. This balance is spent by each one of us the way we want. We can create fortunes by
constructively using the balance given to us or can live it off easy. The Time Bank balance cannot be
accumulated but the achievements made during the spending of Time Bank balance can be
accumulated.

The Principal of Non Transferability

The moments given to us by Time Bank are non transferable. They are given to individuals and spent
by individuals. You cannot transfer these moments to anyone.
The Principal of No Carryover
Whatever moments were given to us today cannot be carried forward tomorrow. The balance will
end at the end of the day and be fully replenished the next day.

The Principal of Non Tradability

Time is the only thing whose value cannot be evaluated. Time cannot be traded or exchanged. You
cannot buy time. You cannot sell time. No measure in this universe can be used to evaluate the cost
of time. Time value cannot be determined and hence cannot be traded. Time is Priceless and nothing
in the world can make you buy an extra moment of time. You cannot ask for extension of Time. You
cannot ask for dilution of time.

The Principal of Non acceleration

You cannot speed up Time or slow down Time. It has moved at the same pace since eternity and will
move at the same pace forever.

The Principal of Uni Direction

The Time moves in one direction. Whatever happens, shall be recorded at the very moment of Time.
You cannot go back in time and make changes. You cannot jump ahead to future and see what will
happen next. Each one of us will be experience the activity at the same moment.

The Principal of Non Judgementality

The Time keepers have been asked only to record your activities done during the Time. They are not
asked to pass any judgements on whether you spent the Time Bank well or whether you wasted the
Time Bank. The Time keepers only work as accountants.

Only God has the right to pass judgement.

Jai Guru Dev !
