News and Prayer Letter October 2013

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Fall is here and we are into a new season of ministry. At the end of this month, we are beginning neighborhood Bible Studies. We will begin with a 6 week study on Christianity followed by a New Testament book study. We have been inviting people and getting the word out as we anticipate October 30th. Our mailing list of interested contacts is growing. Please pray that those interested would find a way to come out. Job update Well, Dennis didnt get the position in the Brookline Branch of PNC Bank. While we felt this would have been ideal, it wasnt of the Lord. In fact, shortly after, the Lord opened an opportunity that will fit his skills better, increase his pay, and shorten his commute time. This will also be a great opportunity to meet new people and develop relationships with new co-workers. We praise the Lord in His provision, and thank you for your prayers. Support One year ago this month we began raising support for this phase of the church plant and beyond. While the Lord has raised up several faithful supporters, we are still in need of an additional $400/month to replace the income we receive from our present church (Middletown Road). We cannot thank our church enough for their sacrifice and support during our deputation time. Looking back, we are amazed how God has provided and burdened others for Pittsburgh, and we know that He will provide for us in the next few months. Please pray about this need. In addition to our support, we have several one-time needs as we begin Bible Studies and work towards launching a service. We thank those who have contributed already towards the purchase of Bibles and tracts. We realize that you may not be able to financially support us monthly, but would you consider helping us with one of these expenses? This could be a monetary gift or perhaps your church has some of these items and they are not being used. This would be an opportunity for a church, youth group, or individual to make a small contribution that will have eternal reward. Each update, we will include a list of needs still outstanding and those that have been answered to let you know how God is providing. Please pray for us over the next several months. We have spent the last year praying and planning for this time. It is such a critical phase as we actively seek to evangelize through personal witness and Bible Studies. We desire to be faithful to our responsibility as Christians and proclaim the Gospel. Pray that God would take the seed of His Word and implant it into hearts that would bear fruit. Pray for unity among our family and partners as we work together and as life gets even busier ministering to people. You dont know how much your support means to us. Its a blessing to write this each month knowing that its going out to believers concerned for a world bound in dark ness. We love you all and pray that God would bless you. The Rews
