FRIDAY

People of Tomorrowland,

THIS IS HOW IT STARTED

What could bring 180,000 people from over 75 different countries to the woods of De Schorre, Boom, Belgium for a five-day period? The conductive force behind this massive congregation of men and women is an unprecedented fairy tale festival based around the EDM culture that has blossomed over the past few years - you all know it as Tomorrowland. Yet, The Gathering on Dreamville is about to become just as legendary. There was no doubting the fact that Dreamville truly lived up to its name in every possible way. What started out as a sweaty, tent-pitching morning quickly escalated when the beats from the nearby The Gathering infiltrated Dreamville. After finishing tent preparations, the residents of Dreamville emerged to see a huge stage and circus-like tent structure as a pre-party before the opening day of the festival was in full swing. Mystique proved to be a self-fulfilling prophecy, whereas Raving George and The Oddword provided hard evidence that the future is for the young. You know you can always count on the regulars like Prinz and Murdock, but it was without a doubt Sound of Stereo that put the flame into it. And end to the night was made by Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, right after their Tomorrowland buddy Yves V got the whole of The Gathering in utter ecstasy. Since the pre-party was this epic, we bet you cant wait to experience Tomorrowland in all of its glory.

Let the musical mayhem begin!

Today, the gates to paradise finally open. Prepare yourself for an abundance of the one thing we all are here for: music.
Finally, Friday has landed! Itll be the first of three days full of musical mayhem. Lets have a look into what Tomorrowland has to offer today! Swedish grandmaster Sebastian Ingrosso will turn the mainstage upside down, next to Tisto, Hardwell and many others. At the Jacked area Afrojack presents legends like Shermanology, Quintino, R3hab, and of course: himself. And if thats not enough, you can lose yourself with Carl Cox & Friends. Or see Markus Schulz doing a marathon session of 12 hours. Twelve hours! Walk around the immense festival grounds and find little hidden treasures everywhere. Bakermat, for example, who will be playing at the Desperados Club. It doesnt matter what kind of music you love. Whether its minimal techno or big room house, its all right here.

Morning
Hello there. Good morning. It is pleasing to see you awake. Have you rested well? You must have. Youre in paradise now.

Paradise

in

Let us tell you whats about to happen. You are going to get up, ignore your headache, smile, eat some breakfast, and then youll be off. Off towards the showers to take a quick bath, put a brush to the teeth, apply some make-up or a razor to the face. Steady now you dont want to slip up here.Okay. Youve washed off the Gatherings grime and look your sharp old self again. The last tatters of drowsiness trickle away to make room for excitement, and you run back towards your tent. Dump that shower gear, grab your wallet and go. It wont be long before you reach the Rainbow Gate, joining thousands of others on their long march down

the Main Avenue. As the masses move forward, their spirits begin to rise. In front of you, someone shouts and others sing. To the left a pair of guys puts their hands up, starting off on a jog towards Tomorrowland. All around you, sunshine bounces off your Dreamville brethrens faces, drawing smiles on them, bringing them to life. Then, long-awaited but still unexpected, the entry gate pops up. The time spent in queue is a small price to pay. Youre in paradise, about to enter the land of Tomorrow. Before you know it *beep* your bracelets been

scanned and you pour out into the festival. The first thing you see: Markus Schulz stage, followed by a barrage of food stands. Curiously, you walk on, and then it happens. The ground drops and a mountain arises, dotted with windows, fountains, lights. In front of it arent nearly enough people yet, and so you start off. Off the hillside, onto the dancefloor, skipping, reveling, running towards the music which you so adore. Bliss. Welcome to The Arising of Life.

MAINSTAGE MEETUP TODAY, 2PM

Two lucky birds from each country have been invited to the international meetup at the mainstage VIP. Come show your support, fly your flags, and make friends too! Everyones invited at the mainstage, today 2pm. Bring flags, national symbols, and bodypaint!

A flight to the land of fairy tales

As the whole world descends on Belgium, about 8000 fanatics are coming in by airplane. And out of those thousands of travelers, a lucky few got a very special surprise when boarding their ride to Tomorrowland! On Thursday a plane packed with beautiful people, goodiebags and even a set played by Dimitri Vegas himself landed in Basel, Switzerland. And of course, Tomorrowland Today was there to greet the chosen ones!
By the look on their faces, the boys and girls boarding havent got a clue whats happening to them as they step onto the plane, decorated with a paintjob especially for Tomorrowland. Two beautiful hostesses greet them, they get a free Swatch (thats a watch) from the stewards and the aftermovie of last year is played loud on the videoscreens. Even though they cant imagine whats in store for them on the way to Brussels, you can almost taste the excitement on all of their faces. But after they all settled down in their seats, conversations start and it doesnt take long before the first wave throughout the plane is underway! Theyre ready, were ready are you ready? Lets leave this bunch of loveable weirdos for a moment, and take a look at the big picture. The numbers of this cooperation between Tomrrowland and Brussels Airlines are simply staggering. 140 Flights (25 in 2012) from every continent, 29 of which are filled only by Tomorrowland goers. A grand total of 8000 people (versus 2000 last year), consisting out of 92 nationalities and coming from 67 departure cities. Even people from less known countries such as Tinidad & Tobago, the Faroe Islands and Swaziland are attending! To say its a global gathering would be a justified statement. And the most wonderful part? They are all family, bounded by the love for music. Suddenly, a voice cracks to life on the intercom. Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain Dimitri speaking! The plane roars with waving arms, screaming voices and laughter as Dimitri drops the first beat of his special set. Its the second time Dimitri Vegas gets to show his skills on an incredible 37.000 feet up in the air. But it feels just like the very first time. Only this year I kind of know what to expect. How do you turn a plane upside down? In half an hour I can play little pieces of all the big dancefloor fillers. Even though the space is confined and you cant move that much, it doesnt matter. Cause well party anyway, sitting, standing or walking on our hands! And party they do! Cramped up against one another they jump around, loving every minute of it. The windows are shut, the entire cabine is dark and there are lights flickering up everywhere. Its magical a sneak peek of the madness to come. They may not know each other, but after the first 3 or 4 records the atmosphere is that of family, fun and letting go of everyday life. And all of that high up in the sky. The goodiebags have been conquered, and the little bottles of champagne are everywhere to be found. Looking at this mayhem its really absurd to realize that its only been going on for about 15 minutes and the suns shining on the outside. Ariana (23) is one of the lucky ones. Ive never been to Tomorrowland. Six months ago I came across some videos on Youtube. We were very fortunate to get some tickets and now were here! We havent got a plan for during the festival, well just see what happens. Although Id really like to see Steve Aoki and David Guetta for sure! Suddenly, the interview with the lovely Ariana is over. Why? Because Dimitri drops another classic track and the whole plane starts to shake. Before we know it, the plane starts its landing. Were in Brussels already! As a final surprise the crowd is asked to take a look though the windows on the right. Just before touchdown a beautiful sight unfolds: the countryside gives way to an enormous crop circle in the shape of Tomorrowlands famous butterfly. We have arrived! Like real celebrities the already pumped-up party people get photographed, filmed and interviewed upon arrival. The press is swarming around them making this already exclusive experience just a bit more awesome. After getting their luggage and the much desired bracelet, its off to the buses. And, like everything that is Tomorrowland, even the guides to the busses are dressed like they just walked out of a fairy tale. Its a sight to remember, all of those ravers with huge-ass backpacks on their way to Dreamville. A smile on every single face. Eyes which take in every little detail, expressions only expressing pure joy and happiness. They are ready. Ready for the Arising of Life, ready to forget the world and share the love with everyone. Alice (20) has travelled all the way from Perth, Australia. Its her first edition of Tomorrowland, and probably the very last. Say what? I believe that the experience you get when visiting a festival like this can never be surpassed. The following editions will always be less grandiose, less fun and just not as good as the first one. So I probably wont come back after this, and preserve the magnificent memories I get this weekend. That quite a statement! Well, Its also very expensive to travel all the way from Australia, of course, she admits. But Id rather spend lots of money on an experience thatll last a lifetime, than less money on more parties that just wont reach this level of madness.

Dave (24) and Marco (25) from Switzerland arent friends. They never knew the other walked the earth! But despite that, the way they sit and enjoy themselves during the crazy flight to Belgium could convince everyone theyve known each other for ever. Its my very first Tomorrowland Dave says. But I can assure you now that it will not be the last! The friendly atmosphere at the airport has made this weekend for me already. What are you guys looking forward to the most this weekend? Sex and fun. Plain and simple. Marco immediately answers laughing. And lots of beer. Dont forget the beer! Dave adds. We predict a very, very good weekend for you guys!

Welcome to

THE FIRST DAY OF DREAMING

A hell of a day, thats what it was. Dreamville, yesterday, rapidly grew from simple campsite to bustling city, equipped with a shopping street, restaurant-lined squares, and a great many canvas houses. There was no lack of entertainment; those up for a pre-party went to the Gathering early, while relaxing campers cracked open a beer with their friends and others hung out by the main street, watching new arrivals pour in. It is of course the people who always turn Dreamville into the covetable place we know it to be, but like last year, the weather gods too deserve praise. They smiled upon the camping with a positive vengeance, making for temperatures that werent too comfortable for hauling heavy baggage, but glorious for kicking back & chilling out, and then partying deep into the night. A good start to Tomorrowland.

FRIDAY

JULY 26TH 2013

It took us 3 hours to make camp, but now Buddha finally has his bath, says this bundle of Dutch guys who are longing for the Q-stage. Buddha wants us to see Gunz For Hire.

These two boys have the right idea, just like you. Read Tomorrowland Today and you might learn something! And dont forget to partake in our contests, you might win prizes too.

Therse, Felicia, Amelia and Lina, all the way from Stockholm: we descended on Tomorrowland in a Global Journey plane shame we didnt get a DJ, but it was still fun!

Hotspots of Dreamville
Theres six of us, and we needed a big tent. So we bought this tipi. We then realized we would have to come dressed as someone you might find at Chattahoochee, 150 years ago. Our proud Danish-Indian friends make good use of their feather crowns. They ululate (thats that uhhwuhhwuhh sound Indians make in the movies) at every pretty girl that passes, hoping to draw them in. Theres six more perfectly girl-sized spots left in the tent. This weekend, we will fill them all. Such confidence needs to be rewarded ladies, look up the pink tower, then walk towards the parking exit, and you will find this Tipi of Love.

FloweRbins
Have you spotted the FloweRbins yet? The R stands for Rethink, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. Minimize your waste and keep the camping clean!

A group of friends from Oostende, Belgium, popped their only confetti shooter to spruce up their picture. All of us are going to Avicii and David Guetta together!

Coming from Southern California, Devins dressed in proper Cali attire. Ive been traveling Europe all summer, and since I cant make it to TomorrowWorld, Im taking Tomorrowland!

This lot calls themselves Cristianioville and hails from Gent, or 9000, as they call it. This thing started out as a joke, but here we are, together at Dreamville.

Fun & Games with nINtendo

Carina and Rebecca took a Global Journey plane from Sydney. We are extending our European stay for a sailing trip in Croatia, but first we party here. That should be no problem. I managed to get an autograph from Dimitri & Mike at Rock Werchter, says Aurelie (left), joined by her friends Marilien and Ines. Were going for another one this weekend!

RED & FRESH

Fresh from the fields of Hoogstraten, right next to Tomorrowland, we give you: strawberries! One of the most refreshing fruits in existence, and freshly picked on top of that, theyre sure to keep your head cool during these hot dancing days. The little red devils are available at the high grounds food court, in front of the mainstage thats the little green dot marked 5 on your festival map. Enjoy!

Hidden somewhere in the partner lane is Nintendos magical land of games. Head over to try out their latest titles on the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS consoles from Game&Wario to New Super Luigi U and from Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D to Animal Crossing: New Leaf, they make for guaranteed fun with your friends. If youre tired of your controller, not to worry; your childhood heroes, Mario and Luigi, are celebrating the latters 30th anniversary with a grand moustache contest. There will be free staches for everyone and a chance to win all kinds of prizes. Nintendos stand even has its own dance floor. Rock to the Jungle Beat with Donkey Kong (preferably in a banana suit), bust a move to rival Marios Spin Jump (and hold on to your moustache!), or hammer out your best steps like Kirby (but try not to eat anyone). And wish Luigi a happy birthday!

Stay connected!
Its always important to stay connected, especially at a festival like Tomorrowland. For several years, Charge Stations have been the standard practice at every festival, but this year its time for the next step. Laad Maar rents portable chargers that recharge your phone in two to three hours. You can now charge your phone during the festival or just overnight in your tent and return the

charger when your phone is charged. Renting a portable charger costs one token but beware: there will also be a deposit of seven tokens. Youll get them back when you return the charger. Note: try to hand in the charger at the point where you got it. That way it can be recharged quickly, and handed over to the next customer. The portable chargers are available at the DreamVille Market, the Infopoint and Buurthuisjes (community centers) at Dreamville.

The Golden Ticket

A magical tale by Patrick Krug

There can only be one winner, but the following people submitted such awesome messages we didnt want to let them go unnoticed!

PIMP YOUR TENT & WIN

After 9 years of aging, the secret is ready to be unveiled. The first Tomorrowland Rum, The Elixir of Life, has arrived at Tomorrowland. It has been aging in Bacardis hidden cellars, somewhere in Puerto Rico, since the first edition of our festival in 2004. Now, it is almost ready to celebrate Tomorrowlands 10th anniversary next year but some people are going to be lucky enough to taste it already. Do you want to win one of only three hand-crafted bottles in existence? Then pimp your tent as much as you can. Go mad. Use your imagination and make it look as awesome as one of the stages. Take a clear picture of it and send that to today@tomorrowland.com. Make sure to put Tomorrowland Elixir of Life as the subject, and tell us your name, phone number and the spot where we can find you at Dreamville. Each day, the winner will receive an email and SMS with more info, so keep an eye on your phone!

The Golden Ticket. A prize desired by many. But ultimately, there can be only one! Patrick Krug took the immense effort to create his own fairy tale within the spirit of Tomorrowland. Even though the thousands and thousands of submissions were all great, the short movie by Patrick grab us from the first to the last second. Curious? You can see it at facebook.com/Tomorrowland. Go on, have a look! In the meantime, we contacted Patrick for a little chat. Patrick, congratulations! How did you get the idea for this clip?

Studio Brussel

Dreamville Radio is on air! Onze campingradiomakers zorgen voor de perfecte tunes om je tent op te zetten! #TL13

From the moment I saw the Golden Ticket Contest post on Facebook, I spent days working on ideas. Things like eggs or birth crossed my mind, symbolizing The Arising of Life. After watching the aftermovies I started to figure out this concept, making a little fairy tale myself! Im so happy it worked out so well!
What was your reaction when you heard you won?

Fedde Le Grand

#RT if youre ready for @tomorrowland #tomorrowland

I was staying at my girlfriends, when suddenly some guy from The Netherlands added me on Facebook. I thought, better add him! Out of the blue he messaged me, asking for my mail and other information. I didnt know what to think of it, until he said watch the Tomorrowland Facebook in about a minute. Could it be? I was nervous as hell of course. And then suddenly, I saw the post. I won! I WON! Insanity followed, pure madness.
What are you looking forward to the most this weekend?

One of the things Im really curious for is all the beautiful decoration. Especially the mainstage. Last year, with the giant books, it was just overwhelming. Hard to beat that, but I know Tomorrowland will pull it off once again. Furthermore, Im really looking forward to the show of Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike. Without a doubt its going to be awesome!

While Dreamville slowly fills up, the first beats start moving the Gathering and tease all visitors at the camping grounds to come there too. We need nothing more than the shining sun, good music and all of you to make this day into a successful opening. And a successful opening it surely is. Some partygoers choose to take some rest and chill out in the grass after building their camp, but others dont hesitate for one moment and start partying immediately. We hope you enjoyed this first day as much as we did. The party is on. Tomorrowland 2013 is loose!

WHAT YOU DONT SEE

A sneak peek behind the scenes
In order to make this festival an amazing experience beyond your wildest dreams, hundreds of people are working their asses of day and night. While you shake off your party sweat, they are working long, long hours. They are the people behind the DJs, those you dont see, but without whom this amazing festival would just be impossible to manage.Wed like you to meet these crew members of steel, giving their all to give you a weekend to never ever forget. Be nice to them, as theyre on call day and night to service you with a smile.

Camping Girls
Were here to check up on the safety of the campsite, Tessa and Katrien say. We keep an eyet on the whole of the campsite and make sure that everything goes as it should. Today we have been in charge of holding the rope that outlines the space that people may use to put up their tents - every couple of minutes we push forward a bit, making sure that every little bit of space on the site is well used. Were here until Monday night, butwe definitely had to work the hardest on Thursday. As long as theres no incidents, our job is rather calm and peaceful, so weve amused ourselves by counting the different nationalities. Its amazing how many different countries are represented on Dreamville!

Toilet Attendant
Meet Johnny! Johnny is a volunteer for the festival who is responsible for the toilets on the camping grounds, together with give or take 28 friends. It is our sole job to keep the toilets clean. Were taking care of the maintenance of the toilets so that the personal hygiene of every one of the campers is ensured. We hand out toilet paper to the people, clean the toilet cottages and keep an eye on the freshness of the lavatory area. Sitting here in my tent, I cant really say Im having a hard time coping with the weather. Im in the shade, theres a bit of a breeze and when I wanna soak up some more sun I just put my seat outside. Its all good over here.

Frans of the Flemish Cross and his astonishing crew will be here all weekend at the Dreamville campsite to take care of the health and safety of all you crazy party nutters. Were alert and vigilant all of the weekend, he says, we always are, but especially with this heat! We havent had any real incidents today, just a handful of campers that suffered a bit from the blistering sun. Of course, the people only come to pay us a visit when it is needed. This is the third time Im here working at Tomorrowland, but this year is definitely the hottest. Therefore we would like to advise everyone to use enough sunblock to protect themselves. And dont forget to drink some water every

now and then!

Camping Cooks
Loempia, nasi, chicken rolls, hamburgers, chicken wings, Charmaine and Didi. Oh, wait! Tasty as they may look - one might like to have a nibble on these two ladies - Charmaine and Didi are only preparing the food and are not to be eaten themselves! Its our first time working at Tomorrowland this year. The last couple of years Ive always been away on a holiday, so this year I made sure that my vacation was planned after the festival. Its really hot here, standing behind those barbecues, but its fun to work. Were doing really long shifts, though, working from1 PMtill3 AM. Buton Thursday, were working on Dreamville and Friday,we get to take care of the food on the festival grounds itself, so we get a bit of a change every day.

Garbage WORKERS
Tomorrowland prides itself in being a green and environment-friendly festival that would like to keep its grounds ecologically sound. And that is exactly why people like Brenda and her teammates go around distributing shiny pink garbage bags to all the happy campers. Its our job to help the people on the campsite be more aware about the environment, so we hand out garbage bags with a huge happy smile on our face so they cant ignore us (smiles). We cant have any rubbish lying around on our green grounds, so we also make an effort to collect the waste and tell people to put their trash in the bin. Its my first time working at Tomorrowland, but I definitely like it, this weather makes working a whole lot more fun.

Sebastian Ingrosso
FOCUS ON MAGICAL FRIDAY
Mainstage 21:00 - 22:30
Sebastian Ingrosso just finished touring the world as one-third of Swedish House Mafia, marking the end of an era. Ingrosso, Axwell and Steve Angello, three childhood friends, both propelled and rode a wave that brought the progressive house sound not only to festivals and clubs around the world, but to worldwide pop radio. Swedish House Mafias breakup was in some ways a perfect Internet story: The signature group in a genre thats exploded with particular popularity in the younger, Twitter-happy demographic of music fans had announced it was calling it quits just a year after performing the first-ever all-DJ show at Madison Square Garden, leaving behind radio hits like Dont You Worry Child and Save the World. The heartbreak in the EDM world was palpable, though neither Ingrosso nor bandmates Steve Angello and Axwell seemed particularly upset about the split. I got a lot of inspiration because its fun now, Ingrosso says. I mean, it was fun all the time, but its a new chapter. Its exciting. Ingrosso, who jumped immediately into the publicity campaign for the vocal mix of Reload, his breakout hit with Tommy Trash and John Martin, said he hasnt spent much time reflecting after Swedish House Mafias One Last Tour. But going out on top has its perks. Ingrosso released a music video for Reload that has racked up 2 million views in one week, and he and Axwell recorded and released a song, Roar, on the soundtrack for Monsters University. Whats it like to have a song like Reload, which blows up as an instrumental, gets new life as a festival vocal track, gets a video and then impacts radio? From now on, Im going to do the vocals from the beginning, so that people dont get confused. But dance music is three-dimensional, if you compare it to other music genres. You have a little community of blogs and people who follow you and go to your underground shows and track your IDs. The second dimension is people who would say, I like how this sounds, but I dont know who that is. The third dimension, then, is the people on the radio and at the gas station. Its pretty cool, actually. Some people hate it when their vocals or tracks bubble up and are no longer underground, but I see it as three different dimensions. As SHM, you made a song with Absolut, and youve now made a song for Disney with Axwell. Where would you draw the line, in terms of working with corporate or commercial partners? Ive been thinking about this so much. If you took a guy on the street, and his dream is to be a DJ or producer, he probably likes Luciano or Loco Dice or some underground guys, but he gets an opportunity to make a song for Disney, Id bet you $1,000,000 that he will take it. I have kids, and Ax has kids, and its a cool thing for our kids, to be like, My dad made a song for this cartoon movie. Thats actually why we did it. I hear a lot of Coldplay influences in Reload and Dont You Worry Child. I know theyre obviously great to remix, but do Chris Martins vocals inspire your work at all? John came - and not just the name - from a rock band before. I dont remember the name of the band, actually, but he came from that rock thing. He didnt know anything about dance music when I met him. He just said, I like the energy, and its an amazing mix to take someone from rock into dance, especially when you have melodies, so they can sing. How do you feel Swedish House Mafia helped -- or hurt -- your individual brand? I was in Swedish House Mafia! [laughs] I think it was a positive thing. I got so many of Steves fans, and he got so many of mine, because we were playing with each other. I think if I have about 500,000 Twitter followers and Swedish House Mafia has a million, I dont think theres anyone who follows me and not Swedish House Mafia. But yeah, I think we gained from it.

Infected Mushroom
B2B 23:30
Electronic music mega-legends Infected Mushroom are best known for being the sonic innovators of the Psychedelic Trance genre. Twice ranked amongst the worlds 10 Best DJs by the Bible of the Scene and with over 14 million hits on YouTube and a #8 position on Billboard, the Israel-bred, L.A. based duo Amit Duvdev Duvdevani and Erez Eisen have made their kingdom amongst the highest in the scene. The trance scene when we started was really monotonic as opposed to melodic with chords, adds Erez. We put a lot of classical elements into that album; it sounded different, and thats why it stood out. At the beginning, nobody believed in that one as well. Times have changed, for the good! 2013 marks a year of reinvention for the duo as they embark on a tour with a new 3D experience. Infecteds new production is truly one of a kind. Stimulating 3D visuals are landscaped onto pods, projecting psychedelic visuals that become the backdrop for enigmatic vocals, hypnotic arrangements, and psy-trippy synthetic rhythms. Fans continue to come together for the same reason: to experience something for your mind, your body, your soul and beyond. Infected Mushroom, the worlds greatest Psy Trance band of the decade.

Afrojack

Jacked 20:15

In less than 2 years Afrojack has become one of electronic dance musics major icons. From humble DJ beginnings in Holland, he has grown to become a multi-award winning, platinum-selling producer. His skills are some of the most sought after in the world, and with two Grammy Awards under his belt, its easy to see why. In addition, his DJ sets have fast become iconic and

unparalleled, providing an explosive take on the current state of dance music across the board. Afrojacks skills stretch much farther than the mixing desk, however; his presence as one of the worlds top performers is solidified almost daily in a grueling tour schedule. In 2012 alone he began his Jacked tour with multiple sold out shows featuring his growing posse of Wall artists.

On top of his own shows, he headlined both EDC NY & Las Vegas to over 300,000 people, as well as UMF in Miami, Tomorrowland and many other major festivals throughout Europe. In the pantheon of EDM greats that have risen over the years, Afrojack has earned his place already, but is far from finished with what he has to share. The adventure continues while the beat goes on.

Joachim Garraud
Dim Mak 16:30
Born in Nantes on September 27th, 1968, music has been in Joachim Garrauds life since day one. After having perfected his piano and percussion for seven years at the conservatory, he decided to move toward electronic music. Along with Laurent Garnier, he started as a DJ at the Boy, the Parisian club that first initiated the discovery of the techno phenomenon in France. He then successfully tried some music production with Maxximum radio station, the nations number one dance radio and part of the CTL group. Becoming the pioneer of numerical music, he created his own recording studio in the middle of Paris, which allowed him to remix, compose or produce artists such as David Guetta, Jean-Michel Jarre, Paul Johnson, Deep Dish, David Bowie, OMD, Kylie Minogue, Mylne Farmer, Cassius, Ceronne, Moby, Robbie Rivera and many more. Joachim developed a new concept, blending deejaying and musical improvisation, thus giving a true concert, a unique live performance which soon gave him the opportunity to perform all over the world. Today, he is surrounded by a big community with his Space Invader mascot as their emblem.

Jaguar Skills
Tape 19:45
From humble beginnings producing mixtapes for Japanese fashion labels through to curating his own stage at Bestival and releasing platinum-selling compilations; the rise and rise of the original ninja-DJ Jaguar Skills has been well documented. Honing his craft and love of music for the last 15 years Jag has managed to remain true to his school and keep a mysterious edge to his character, with details of his real name, age and home town left largely unconfirmed Jaguar Skills first burst onto the scene with his extraordinary DJ skills and unique ability to produce awe-inspiring mixtapes. Such originality and skill, both inside and outside the DJ booth, did not go unnoticed and it wasnt long before the world-famous BBC Radio 1 snapped up Jaguar Skills for a quarterly In New DJs we Trust slot. He was given free rein to deliver his high octane mixes that involve an aural assault of every tempo imaginable, from House to Dubstep through to Drum & Bass with everything in between. With spectacular sold-out tours already completed, 2013 is shaping up to be another mammoth year for Radio 1s masked Ninja. In the pipe-line is his second compilation, this time for the mighty Ministry of Sound.

Carl Cox
Carl Cox & Friends 23:00
A musical ambassador since he was in shorts, a professional DJ since his early teens, a veteran of acid house and a champion of techno, Carl Cox emits a love of his work that is dangerously infectious. Check him out when hes behind the turntables and you cant mistake his ecstatic visage, dripping with sweat as his head bobs up and down to the beat, his hands pumping into the air whenever theyre not manipulating the turntables, his body swaying back and forth, frequently taking to the mic to share word on the latest underground tune hes about to break. You name it, Carls been there and done it, but hes never lost sight of the point of it: playing music, breaking tunes, spreading love, celebrating life. As a founder of the sound, Carl rode the exploding British rave scene and has stayed on top ever since. Carl was voted best DJ of the last 25 years by Mixmag readers, an accolade that he appreciates fully: It is a big honour to be considered the No.1 DJ after such a long time. I am very happy that people still enjoy my music. Music is my life and I have worked hard to try and share that.

Adrenalize
Q-dance 19:00
This young man is on the move! Just 17 years old and hungry for music! Malthe was only 10 years of age when he started getting into simple music-making programs, just to find out that this was his calling. Music was all he was focused to do. It all began by exploring different styles of electronic music from techno to trance. Some time afterwards, his ears listened to hardstyle, and since then this is the only style for Adrenalize! The first tracks were produced in co-operation with his brother, but now its only Adrenalize himself, and he is ready to show you what he is made of. His productions made it into several charts and he received support from Headhunterz, Ran-D and many other DJs in the scene. It is no secret that his talent has given him an opportunity like no other and his future in the hardstyle scene has only just begun. The dream is to prove that hardstyle is his calling, and to become an established artist in this business. The name, Adrenalize, is also picked with knowledge. The knowledge of creating tracks full of energy, speed and power. Combined with uplifting melodies, and innovative thinking this can only go one way: forward!

Digitalism
Forma.T 18:30
Digitalism is a German electro duo, founded in 2004 in Hamburg, consisting of Jens Moelle and Isi Tfeki. Jens likens Digitalisms songs to simple chapters in a complex novel about social interaction and attraction, with distorted basslines and thumping rhythms comprising the punctuation. Digitalisms debut album, Idealism, was released 9 May 2007 on EMI. The album includes re-edits of the previously released singles Jupiter Room, Zdarlight as well as their Digitalism in Cairo original re-edit of a track by the Cure which actually doesnt feature any samples from the original. Digitalisms sound is crossing the limits between Electro, Rock and Indie. Digitalism has remixed tracks for Tom Vek, The Futureheads, Daft Punk, Tiga, Klaxons, White Stripes, Monk, Depeche Mode, Cut Copy and many others. Their tracks and remixes are played by DJs such as Erol Alkan, Soulwax, Boys Noize, and Justice, among others. The new era is Digital. The new era is Digitalism.

RAN-D
Q-dance 00:00
Randy Wieland, better known as Ran-D, was born on May 18, 1981 at Zeeland (Noord-Brabant) in The Netherlands. The past years he has played on major Hard Dance events such as Defqon.1, Q-Base, In Qontrol, X-Qlusive, The Qontinent, Qountdown and so on. Currently he is a member of Scantraxx Records. His releases on A Records are supported by a lot of major DJs in the Hardstyle scene. In the studio as well as behind the decks, he is a real perfectionist. Over the years he has developed his own distinct sound, which is diverse but always has the unique Ran-D touch to it. A mix of raw sounds, uplifting melodies and his own unique vocals make his sound stand out. As an artist Ran-D represents his crowd in more that one way: he comes from their ranks. Starting as a visitor on the same events as where he now performs in front of them. And he shares their enthusiasm, knowing exactly what they need and what they want, topping everyones expectations. Respect for his fans is something that grows from within; a deeper understanding of what hardstyle truly is about. I share the same passion for music as my audience, that is what drives me.
