TRANSFORMACIN DE ORACIONES

En muchos idiomas las oraciones pueden ser transformadas, es decir, puedes expresar los conceptos de diferentes maneras. El ingls no es una excepcin. Con los ejercicios de transformacin de oraciones mejorars tu fluidez y expandirs tu uso del lenguaje, y estars en una buena posicin donde podrs elegir como quieres expresar un concepto; de una manera u otra. Por ejemplo,

John lives in London and Mary lives in London

Si se comienza la oracin con Both (ambos) esta significa lo mismo que la oracin original:

Both John and Mary live in London A veces la nueva oracin necesita otros cambios (en este caso el verbo lives, se transforma a plural LIVE) La siguiente tabla muestra diferentes tipos de transformacin de oraciones:

Mary has more money than John "Show us your ticket" the man said John has less money than Mary The man asked us to show him our tickets The teacher told them they had to be there at 9am I wish I had learnt to swim when i was young The tickets are only sold between 10 and 13.00 A ticket costs at least 10 There are hardly any tickets left for the evening show

"You must be here at 9am", the teacher said

I should have learnt to swim when i was young We only sell the tickets between 10 and 13.00 You have to pay at least 10 for a ticket

Only a few tickets are left for the evening show

This bed is too small for you and for me Beethoven was born in Bonn; he was a great composer If you don't wear a suit you can't go to the wedding He could read even though he was only 3 years old

This bed is not big enough for both of us Beethoven, who was a great composer, was born in Bonn Unless you wear a suit you can't go to the wedding

despite being only 3 years old he could read

He didn't swim well; it was his first time in that pool

He wasn't used to swimming in that pool so he didn't swim well Mary may not have gone go to the meeting

It's possible that Mary didn't go to the meeting
