Experience:
Focus entry: Today, we will watch a video. (after the video presentation) What have you observed in the video? What is area as what have shown in the video? How it differs with your past lesson (perimeter)? (Call some students). Today we will discuss how to get the area of a certain plane figure which is square.

Instructional procedure: Provide Rationale Before the lesson begins, the teacher will lead the class to pray. Then the teacher will inform the students about the focus entry (mentioned above) for this lesson and the objective of the day. Motivation Show them the video on the basic concepts in calculation of area of square. (call students to recall what is area and distinguish formula. ) Practice Group them into four. Give them one square giving its dimension. They will get the area of that square. After which, they will also form 3 squares with the same area of the first one. They are task to combine the four squares to make it a bigger one square. Then, they will get the area of the newly

formed one bigger square.

Evaluation: Grade each group through their outputs and participation during class. Give prizes for students who volunteered and reported in front. The outputs would be graded according their identification. Guided practice/Instructional strategies: Indirect Instruction Indirect instruction seeks a high level of student involvement in observing, investigating, drawing inferences from data, or forming hypotheses. It takes advantage of students' interest and curiosity, often encouraging them to generate alternatives or solve problems.

Reflection
Ask the question: Explain how does a thing created as it is, example Why there is a shape intended for that particular object? Why does the table form a square not a triangle?

Answer of the question: For each thing is designed with a shape that will correspond its function. (Elaborate more by the students)

Action
The group will illustrate it on the cardboard in form of poster making on what they have reflected on.

Evaluation
The students will have a 16 item quiz, which will test the learning of the students about the topic.
