CDB ENGINEERING was founded in 2000. The aim of the company is to supply quality products and services for the improvement of technical installations. With this goal in mind, research and development is continuously being carried out for the benefit of our customers. Thanks to qualified engineers, updated production and testing facilities, we have specialized ever since our foundation in supplying equipment along with the necessary know how and expertise for filtration and process engineering solutions. The material range in addition to the standard pieces in carbon steel includes stainless steel, non ferrous and exotic alloys, Duplex, 6MO and Titanium.
Our current manufacturing facilities are built over an area of 25000 square meters; We would, of course, always be delighted to welcome you at our head offices and factory at which time we would make the most of your visit and introduce you to our members of staff. We can assure you that you would have no hesitations about the reputation and ability of CDB ENGINEERING after such a visit.
CDB Engineering quality management system is certified according to Our quality assurance department ensures that our quality procedures are followed and improved throughout the complete manufacturing process cycle. Welders and Welding Procedures are certified by T..V.

STEAM PRODUCTS
Thermodynamic Steam Traps
Aside from the orifice trap this is probably the simplest trap on the market and yet is the most widely used. The disc trap is made up of three primary components: the body, the cap and the disc. Like the orifice trap, the operation of the disc trap utilizes the difference in specific volume between steam and condensate. With flow moving through a fixed orifice this translates into a difference in velocity between steam and condensate. Operation of the disc trap also utilizes flash steam as an operating force to work in conjunction with the velocity of the steam. In order to understand the operation of the disc itself we have to know the principle under which it operates. Bernoulli's Principle, simply stated: THE PRESSURE OF A FLUID (LIQUID OR GAS) DECREASES AT POINTS WHERE THE SPEED OF THE FLUID INCREASES. Applying this to the disc trap we are, in fact, creating a low pressure zone between the disc and seats whenever we increase the velocity of the steam or condensate flowing through this zone. In addition we are providing a small chamber for the accumulation of flash steam above the disc. Fig. shows a simple disc trap. As flow, in the form of condensate, moves into the trap and through the inlet orifice it forces the disc to lift, allowing the condensate to pass through and out the outlet. As the temperature of the condensate reaches it's saturation point a percentage of that condensate will flash as it exits the inlet orifice. When steam reaches the inlet orifice two things will immediately happen: the velocity will increase sufficiently to create a low pressure zone between disc and seats pulling the disc down upon the seats. At the same time flash steam will have formed behind the disc and, with the exit orifice sealed off, the pressure induced by this non-escaping flash steam will hold the disc in place. The disc will remain in place until the flash steam has condensed, thus allowing the disc to open again. Size to 2 rating 600# to 2500#
Balanced Pressure
The Balanced Pressure type trap operates on the principal of liquid expansion due to an increase in temperature. The liquid is contained in a bellows internal to the steam trap and fixed at one end. Integral to the bellows is a valve attached to its free end. The liquid in the partially filled bellows can be as simple as distilled water under vacuum or an alcohol combination to reduce its vapor point to a lower degree than water. At ambient conditions the bellows is contracted with the valve away from the seat. When steam, or condensate near it's saturation point, comes in contact with the bellows the liquid inside the bellows expands and drives the valve into the seat closing off steam flow. As the steam condenses, collects and cools, the bellows will cool and contract, backing the valve away from the seat and allowing the accumulated condensate to pass. As the condensate passes through the trap and is replaced by steam the bellows heats up again. As steam comes in contact with the bellows it expands and closes the valve, shutting off flow. As you can see this trap is not governed not only by the pressure differential but rather by the temperature of the steam and condensate. Size to 2 rating up to 300#

With the improvement of the simulation systems it is now possible to attend with great precision to the design of mechanical part and fluid systems The FEM conducts a series of computational procedures involving applied forces, and the properties of the elements which produce a model solution. Such a structural analysis allows the determination of effects such as deformations, strains, and stresses which are caused by applied structural loads such as force, pressure and gravity.

Maintenance Strainer maintenance should be made at least once year, or whenever the pressure drop is found to be in excess of the normal figures. A quick clean-up system, to made approximately once a mounth. For a complete maintenance follow the points herebelow: -1- Be sure that the main line has been shut-off. -2- Untighten cover stud bolts and nuts, remove cover and gasket . -3- Withdraw basket and carefully inspect it for damages. If any hole in the screen is found abstructed, then clean it . If the basket is broken in any part or out of shape, replace it with a new spare one. -4- Carefully clean the inside of the strainer body. -5- Fit a new gasket . -6- Install the new screen or the cleaned one . -7- Put in place cover . -8- Slowly give pressure to the line, checking for leakages. -9- Write on the strainer body the date of this maintenance operation.

How to service: Maintenance of flow indicators should be made whenever the visibility through the window is poor. Follow the points here below: 1) Make sure that the main line is shut-off 2) Loosen bolts and remove covers , glasses and the four gaskets 3) Clean the inside of the body to remove any dirt. 4) Clean the two glasses with a soft cloth using if necessary a suitable cleaning fluid. If glasses are damage or cracked replace them. 5) Reassemble all the elements replacing the four gaskets. 6) Slowly give pressure to the line checking for leaks.

FLAME ARRESTORS
During the tank filling, the breathing valve expel over the tank some gas that could burn. The tank has to be protected to avoid that the flames spread inside the tank. This is the reason why a flame stopper is installed between the tank and the breathing valve and it has to: Defeat the flame Resist to make the hot fade away Resist to the shock wave producer by an external explosion The flame arrestor efficiency is reduced by the flame arrestor element and by the fifth that is inside it. Considering all these things, CDB engineering produce flame arrestor element only in SS316 and is easy to disassemble for a frequent maintenance. The flame stopper cdb engineering can be also manufactured in cast body and there are many different type as: Standard flame arrestor from 2 to 12 used for breathing valve assembly or free breath. Box flame arrestor from 2 to 6 is used for the assembly of breath valve with convoyed breath or on the final part of pipe. The flame arrestor element can be slipped removing the cover from the box an the arrestor. Cdb engineering is also able to manufacture flame arrestor with welded body and are available made of the following material : body built with a diameter reduction in a105n or with a diameter reductions in wp304l or 316l and flange in f304l or 316l from 2 t0 12. Body and flame arrestor element built with a plate in SS316L thk 3mm. Sliding flange in s.s.316l from 2 to 6. Body and flame arrestor in s.s. 316l thk 3mm, fixed flanges in ss316l from 2 to 6
