Clerical Miracles
These miracles are taken from the Holy Lands Dark Ages 1st Edition book. Some minor changes have been made to a few of them to bring them online with LE rules.
Advantage FP Cost: 9 Affect: Self or Other Distance: 10 per level or Touch Duration: 1 round per level Description: This miracle give the character automatic ADV when in combat situations. No ADV roll is necessary when this miracle is in effect. Awaken (similar to LE High Miracle Wake, but different enough to be listed) FP Cost: 7 Affect: Self or Other Distance: Touch Duration: 1 day (24 hrs) per level Description: This miracle allows the blessed person to remain awake and function normally without being affected by a lack of sleep. It allows them to not need sleep even if previously exhausted. Babel FP Cost: 7 Affect: Self or Other Distance: 10 per level or Touch Duration: 1 hour per level Description: Babel allows the blessed character to understand any language that they hear as long as it is an actual spoken form of communication. i.e. it does not allow a character to understand sign language or the barking of a dog for example. Bless Weapon FP Cost: 9 Affect: 1 weapon Distance: Line of sight or Touch Duration: 1d10 rounds per level Description: Blessing a weapon gives it a +1 per level of the clergy to Attack, Defend, and Damage. This blessing gives the weapon the ability to hit creatures who can be hit only with Holy Weapons.

Holy Light (similar to LE High Miracle Sphere of Light, but different enough to be listed) FP Cost: 7 Affect: Other or Object Distance: 10 per level (visible light or flash) Duration: Instant for flash or 10 minutes plus 10 minutes per level for light Description: This miracle can serve two different purposes, both of which have a maximum range equal in distance, but otherwise are considered completely separate miracles. The first function is to create a brilliant burst of white light that blinds all within range for 1d8 rounds. The other function of Holy Light is to create a soft white light that radiates from the Clergys staff or other object chosen by the clergy. This light gives clear visibility in otherwise pitch-black or dark environments within the distance. Might of the Warrior FP Cost: 9 Affect: Self or Other Distance: 10 per level or Touch Duration: 1d6 rounds per level Description: This miracle increases the characters combat skills by +3. All Attack, Advantage, Damage, defend, and Dodge rolls are increased for the duration. Protection from Magic FP Cost: 10 Affect: Self or Other Distance: 10 per level or Touch Duration: 10 minutes per level Description: This miracle protects the character from the affects of the next magic attack they endure by absorbing the magic, rendering it useless. The character can expect the Protection to last for the duration or until the protection used. This miracle can also protect the character from the consequences of using or carrying a magic item for the duration. Sense Good/Evil FP Cost: 5 Affect: Self Distance: 20 per level Duration: instant Description: Performing this miracle allows the character to determine another persons exact virtuous status. The character can tell instantly if the person good or evil as determined by the Rac. Sense Presence FP Cost: 5 Affect: Self Distance: 100 per level Duration: instant Description: This miracle allows the character to sense another object or living creatures presence and its location that is within the distance range of the character. If more than one target meets the criteria given by the character at the time of casting, then the Rac will randomly determine which one is detected. This miracle will give the character the direction and rough distance to the target, but no other information about it.

Turn Demon FP Cost: 12 Affect: Other (1d4 demons per level) Distance: 10 per level Duration: 1d4 hours Description: This miracle creates the fear of God in a demon, which makes them turn and flee from the caster. Any demon within the listed distance will not willingly return to the Clergys area for the duration but if the Clergy Attacks the demon they can and will fight back. Lesser demons do not get a save against this miracle. Greater demons can only be affected by Clergy of 4th or higher level and they get a Save vs Miracles and if they make it they are repelled for only 1d4 rounds. Advanced demons are only affected by Clergy of at least 6th level or higher level and if they make their save there is no effect. Understand Writing FP Cost: 5 Affect: Self Distance: N/A Duration: 10 minutes per level Description: Tis miracle allows the character to understand any written language he or she sees as long as the writing is an actual form of written communication. These 1st Ed Clerical Miracles are duplicates of already existing LE Rule Miracles. Cloaking (same as LE High Miracle Cloak) Cure Poisoning (same as LE Cleric Miracle Cure Poisoning) Disable Runes (same as LE Cleric Miracle Disable Runes) Dispel Magic (same as LE Cleric Miracle Absorb Spell) Exorcism (same as LE Cleric Miracle Exorcism) Heal Life (same as LE Cleric Miracle Heal) Hellfire (same as the LE High Miracle Hellfire, Note in LE this is not available to the Cleric class) Silence (same as the LE Cleric Miracle Mute) Sword to Snake (same as the LE High Miracle Weapon to Snake) Templar (same as the LE High Miracle Templar)

High Miracles
These miracles are taken from the Holy Lands Dark Ages 1st Edition book. Some minor changes have been made to a few of them to bring them online with LE rules.
Ascension FP Cost: 18 Affect: Self or Other Distance: 10 per level or Touch Duration: 1 ascension, up to 12 per level Description: This miracle allows the blessed person to ascend into the air at a maximum speed of 6 high per round, per level of the Clergy. A standard Saving Throw vs Miracles is required to affect an unwilling or involuntary target. Befriend Animal FP Cost: 7 Affect: 1 animal per level Distance: 10 per level or Touch Duration: 10 minutes per level Description: This miracle allows the blessed character to sooth and charm an animal in to friendliness. This does not mean that the animal will necessarily understand or obey the Clergy, but the animal will desire to be in the presence and protect the Clergy. Bless Person FP Cost: 15 Affect: Self or Other Distance: 10 per level or Touch Duration: 10 minutes per level Description: This powerful miracle increases all of the blessed characters Attributes by +1 per level of the Clergy. Bless Water FP Cost: 12 Affect: 1 pint of normal clean water Distance: Touch Duration: 1d4 days Description: This miracle turns normal water into a form of Holy Water, which can be used to cause severe burns at 1d6+1 DAM per level of the Clergy to demons and demi-races (not people or animals) per splash. (There are a total of 8 sprinkles with a Holy Water Sprinkler or 8d6+1 DAM per level per pint.)

Breathe FP Cost: 9 Affect: Self or Other Distance: 10 per level or Touch Duration: 10 minutes per level Description: Performing this miracle on a character allows them to function normally without breathing or needing to breathe under water, in noxious fumes, or in any other situation. Calm Storm FP Cost: 15 Affect: Area Distance: 1 mile per level centered no farther than mile from Clergy Duration: 1 hour per level Description: This powerful miracle stops the fiercest of storms. Whether the storm is magical or natural, this miracle reduces it to a light breeze for the duration. Collapse Wall FP Cost: 30 Affect: 5 x 5 x 2 of wall per level Distance: 10 per level or Touch Duration: instant Description: This miracle collapses any part of a wall made of stone or wood to dust. Create Food FP Cost: 9 Affect: 1 ration of food per level Distance: within 10 Duration: instant, permanent Description: This amazing miracle creates 1 ration (meal) of various foods per level of the Clergy. The food will be exactly what those eating needs to sustain themselves for 1 day. The food is normal after creation and will spoil if not eaten or preserved in some way. Create Portal FP Cost: 30 Affect: 10 x 10 area (normally upright like a door, but not necessary) Distance: 10 per level or Touch Duration: instant Description: Performing this miracle creates a portal to another area or land up to 100 miles away per level of the Clergy. The Clergy cannot predetermine the exact final destination unless they are completely familiar with it.

Curse of Blindness FP Cost: 33 Affect: Other Distance: 10 per level or Touch Duration: permanent in 1d10 minutes Description: This miracle causes a person to become permanently blind. The only way to relieve the blindness is to Remove the Curse as per the miracle. Curse of Boils FP Cost: 36 Affect: Other Distance: 10 per level or Touch Duration: permanent in 1d4 hours and death in 1d4 days Description: This devastating curse inflicts the victim with painful, festering boils that eventually lead to death. The first boil appears after a horrible itch in 1d4 hours. The pain causes a -1 to all combat rolls per hour (i.e. -1 at hour one, -2 at hour two etc). Only a Remove Curse miracle can relieve the victim from their fated death. Curse of Livestock FP Cost: 33 Affect: 1d4 animals per level Distance: Line of Sight, or Touch Duration: permanent, dies in 1d10 minutes Description: The deadly curse causes an animal to stop dead in their tracks from an excruciating pain caused by internal bleeding. Curse of Nebuchadnezzar FP Cost: 42 Affect: Other Distance: Touch Duration: 1 week per level Description: This miracle humbles the proudest king. It makes the victim mentally become like an animal that live in the wild and grazes on grass. The victim is not able to function as a learning human being, but rather is reduced mentally to their most basic and simple survival instincts. They have no conscious, analytical, or sub conscious abilities. After the miracle has elapsed the victim is fully aware of everything that they have done while cursed. Darkness FP Cost: 18 Affect: area, 10 diameter sphere per level Distance: 20 per level Duration: 1 minute per level Description: Performing this miracle makes the affected area completely and unnaturally dark. Not even fire or other sources of light inside the darkness can be seen by anyone (including the Clergy and his party) who is in the darkness. No one can see within the Darkness from the outside. All combat within the Darkness is reduced to only success on a natural roll of 20 or above by those not possessing extraordinary skills.

Dissipate Water FP Cost: 24 Affect: 1000 gallons of water per level Distance: 10 per level or Touch Duration: permanent in 1d12 rounds Description: Performing this miracle slowly dries up an affected body of water. This miracle does not part or move waters, but simply dissipates it into thin air. Dowsing FP Cost: 7 Affect: Rock wall or other vertical hard surface Distance: 10 per level or Touch Duration: 1 minute per level Description: Performing this miracle makes one gallon per level of the Clergy of fresh drinking water trickle down the side of a hard vertical surface. The more water that comes out (as the clergy increases in levels) the harder it rushes from the wall. Earthquake FP Cost: 28 Affect: area, 50 diameter per level Distance: 50 per level or Touch Duration: 1 round per level Description: This devastating miracle quakes the earth at a magnitude equal to 1 per level of the Clergy on the modern day Richter scale. The tremor causes everyone within its affect of suffer a -5 to all rolls per magnitude. The Clergy can choose the level of effect up to their max levels effect. People, animals, buildings and structures are affected as per the Racs estimation of damage. Empower Crucifix FP Cost: 5 plus FP cost of miracle added Affect: 1 Holy crucifix Distance: Touch Duration: Permanent Description: Performing this miracle adds any other miracle the Clergy desires to a Holy Crucifix, which can be sued by another character at any time. A miracle added to a Holy Crucifix can be any that he Clergy desires as long as they have the appropriate FP available to Empower it and perform the desired miracle. Endure Hunger FP Cost: 9 Affect: Self or Other Distance: Touch Duration: 1 day per level Description: This miracle allows the blessed person to function and carry on like normal without food or water. After the miracle elapses, the character is extremely hungry and thirsty and suffers a -1 to all skill rolls per day (i.e. 1 day -1, 3 days -3 etc) they have forsaken food. This lasts until they have consumed at least one full meal.

Escape (similar to the LE High Miracle Become Shadow, but different enough to listed) FP Cost: 21 Affect: Self or Other Distance: 10 per level or Touch Duration: 10 per level Description: The Escape miracle allows the blessed person to travel as a mist through solid objects such as walls and people. The character must continue moving at all time or they return to their natural physical form. The speed of the character is reduced to half as long as they are a mist. The mist cannot be seen by others but can be felt and the character can feel and see the activity that both surround them and that he surrounds. Fire FP Cost: 9 Affect: Wood, cloth, or other flammable article/material Distance: 10 per level or Touch Duration: instant, permanent Description: This miracle ignites a small flame on a flammable surface. It causes 1d8+1 per level DAM if ignited directly on a persons flesh. Flood FP Cost: 21 Affect: Area, ground level surface Distance: up to 1 mile away Duration: permanent Description: This miracle creates 1,000 gallons of fresh water per level of the Clergy that is created from thin air. The effect is not quite instant and will take 1d4 rounds to create 1,000 gallons. Frogs FP Cost: 18 Affect: Area Distance: 10 per level or Touch Duration: 1 day per level Description: This miracle creates 100 frogs per level of the Clergy that seem to come into being from every nook, cranny, and shadow. They are lazy and fat, but otherwise act like normal frogs after being created. Hail FP Cost: 21 Affect: 100 diameter Distance: Line of Sight Duration: 1d10 rounds per level Description: This miracle creates a dim area that within 1d3 rounds becomes bombarded with painful pieces of ice, which vary in size (1-4). The hail causes 1d4+1 points of DAM per level of the Clergy per round the target is in the area of affect. The ice melts normally after the miracle ends.

Heal Disease FP Cost: 15 Affect: Self or Other Distance: Touch Duration: instant, permanent Description: This miracle relieves a person of one mental or physical disorder brought about by natural causes per level of the Clergy such as leprosy, epilepsy, psychosis, and mental addiction. Heal Disease does not relieve disorders caused by poisons, Curses or magic. Heavy Burden FP Cost: 21 Affect: Self, Other or Object Distance: Line of Sight or Touch Duration: 1d6 rounds per level Description: Performing this miracle makes the targets weight to double for the duration. Flying or swimming targets must instantly Save vs Death or crash to the ground/sink to the bottom. Impervious to Fire FP Cost: 15 Affect: Self, Other, or Object Distance: Touch Duration: 10 minutes per level Description: This miracle makes the target and their immediate belongings completely impervious to the affects of heat, flames and fire. Know Person FP Cost: 15 Affect: Self Distance: Line 10 per level or Touch Duration: instant Description: This miracle allows the Clergy to know information about one person or being per level of the Clergy. The information known includes Attributes, Life Points (total and current), Sins, Abilities, Skills, Family History, Level, Name, and all other information gained from a Character Sheet. It does not tell things like motives, thoughts or plans. Lightning FP Cost: 18 Affect: Other or Object Distance: Line of Sight Duration: Instant Description: This powerful miracle creates a bolt of lightning that automatically hits the target with a bolt of electricity from above their heads. The lightning does 1d8+1 DAM per level of the Clergy. The target does not get a Saving Throw or Dodge roll. Additionally anyone in direct contact with the target at the time of the strike takes 1d6 DAM. This miracle will set normally flammable materials on fire.

Manna FP Cost: 7 Affect: 1 loaf per level Distance: within 20 of Clergy Duration: Instant, permanent Description: This miracle creates a bread like loaf large enough to nourish one person per level of the Clergy as if they have just eaten an entire meal. The bread taste like honey, but will disappear if not eaten within 10 minutes. Message (in 1st Ed this was named Angelic Message.) FP Cost: 10 Affect: Other Distance: Line of Sight, 100 miles, or Touch Duration: 1 message (type one is instant, type two is visible for 1d10 rounds) Description: This powerful miracle can serve two different purposes. It can send a quick and silent thought into the head of another person known to the Clergy instantly (10 words or less). The target must be within line of sight of the Clergy. The other function of the miracle is to send a message of greater length to another person by way of a luminescent floating hand writing the message onto a wall or other surface. The written message, which is clearly visible, can be no longer than 10 words also, but the Clergy can choose to have it be in a known language that can be read by anyone who could normally read that language or it may be in a supernatural script that only the intended recipient can understand. Object History FP Cost: 12 Affect: Self Distance: Touch Duration: instant Description: Performing this miracle allows the Clergy to know the complete history of an object they are touching from its creation to now. As long as the Clergy holds the object, they can see the information they desire, but once they let go of the object, the miracle lapses. Part Water FP Cost: 24 Affect: Area, 100 sq ft of water per level Distance: 10 per level or Touch Duration: 10 min per level Description: This miracle parts a body of water straight down the center and suspends the two walls of water in the air. The ground between the walls can be walked on as if it is dry earth. Note: if used on a running water source, the water mysteriously continues to flow as if there were no interruption. Passover FP Cost: 45 Affect: 1 Angle of Death per level Distance: 100 per level centered on the Clergy Duration: 10 rounds per level Description: This awesome miracle summons an Angle of Death (glowing man like being with wings and flaming gladius) to engage in combat with a targeted group designated by the Clergy. The Angel returns to Heaven immediately after the miracle expires.

Perceive Thoughts FP Cost: 9 Affect: Self Distance: 10 per level or Touch Duration: 1 round per level Description: This miracle allows the clergy to connect to the mind of the target individual and listen to their thoughts. One round of thoughts can be equivalent to a single word or emotion. The more time spent listening the more information and details that are perceived. Pestilence FP Cost: 21 Affect: Area, 100 per level Distance: Up to 1 mile per level Duration: 10 minutes per level Description: This miracle summons swarms of gnats, flies, and or locusts to the area. The area becomes black and all beings within the swarm cannot see or hear because of the millions of flying insects. A crop or other living plants will be destroyed if it is in the target area. All beings within the swarm have a 25% chance of contracting a debilitating disease that causes them to be violently sick for 1d6 days. There is a 5% chance that others coming into contact with the diseased person (during the 1d6 days timeframe) will also contract the disease as well. Prayer of Faith FP Cost: 24 Affect: Self or other Distance: Touch Duration: Instant, permanent Description: This miracle restores the Clergy or targets Faith Points at 6 FP per level of the Clergy. Obviously, this miracle will not be useful until the character reaches higher levels. Prophetic Guidance FP Cost: 15 Affect: Self Distance: Touch Duration: Instant, permanent Description: This miracle allows the character to receive information from God as to where they must go next and what they must do. This can be an opportunity for the RAc to inform the Clergy of something important they have missed, forgotten, or overlooked. This miracle will not work to gain any other information. Providence FP Cost: 12 Affect: Self or Other Distance: Touch Duration: 1 hour per level Description: This miracle gives the character a +2 per level, to any one Ability they currently have or gives the character one new Ability they do not currently have at +1 proficiency per level of the Clergy.

Purify Food FP Cost: 9 Affect: 3 pounds of food per level Distance: 10 per level or Touch Duration: instant, permanent Description: This miracle causes any food that is rotten, contaminated by poison or bacteria to be clean and safe for consumption. Although it may not be tasty, uncooked foods such as meats, eggs etc will also be edible. Purify Liquid (originally named Purify Water) FP Cost: 7 Affect: 1 gallon per level Distance: 10 per level or Touch Duration: Permanent Description: This miracle purifies any liquid of all harmful substances (poisons, bacteria etc). It makes any liquid safe as pure water without changing any other physical properties. Retrieve Object FP Cost: 15 Affect: Object Distance: 100 per level or Line of Sight Duration: 1d4 rounds Description: This miracle allows the Clergy to retrieve an object that they or someone in their Order knows the current location of. The object or weapon levitates above and around objects until it reaches the Clergy, but it cannot pass through solid objects or barriers. The object must be familiar to the Clergy or described in detail and in a known location. This miracle does not retrieve anything that does not belong to the Clergy or their Order unless it is in plain sight. The object can be stopped or held by force if the holder is successful at a Save vs Miracles. Staff to Snake (while similar to the LE High Miracle Weapon to Snake, this is sufficiently different to be listed separately) FP Cost: 9 Affect: Staff Distance: 10 per level Duration: 10 minutes per level Description: This miracle turn an ordinary staff into a poisonous and vicious snake that will attack anyone not in the Clergys order that is in range. The snake is ordinary in the sense that the Clergy cannot command it to do something, but the snake will never harm the clergy of his company. The Clergy can choose the type of snake desired (i.e. constrictor, viper, etc). Strength FP Cost: 15 Affect: Self or Other Distance: 10 per level or Touch Duration: 10 minutes per level Description: This awesome miracle doubles the characters Strength Attribute for the duration. (See Attribute Bonus Table on pg 16 LE Rules, for DAM bonuses due to increased STR attributes.)

Strong Winds FP Cost: 9 Affect: Area, 100 diameter per level Distance: 100 per level Duration: 1d12 rounds per level Description: This miracle creates a wind with a maximum strength of 2 per level of the Clergy. The winds STR are used to compare it against objects or persons in the area of effect. This wind will blow any fumes, poison clouds or small flying creatures/objects away from the Clergy (in a direction chosen by the Clergy). A flying creatures STR rating is pitted directly against the winds STR rating to determine if controlled flight is possible. Summon Animal FP Cost: 18 Affect: 1 animal per level Distance: 100 per level Duration: 1 hour per level Description: This miracle summons 1 animal per level of Clergy of any local type from a nearby location. The animals will immediately attack the Clergys enemies. The Clergy gets a 10% per level chance to choose the type of animal that responds to the summons otherwise the type is chosen by the Rac. Random Animal (1d4) 1: Small animal (rat, skunk, ferret, fox, cat, crow, pike) 2: Medium animal (hawk, coyote, wolverine, bobcat, dog, barracuda) 3: Large animal (wolf, eagle, cougar, black bear, sturgeon) 4: Giant animal (Grizzly bear, moose, elephant, shark) Water to Blood FP Cost: 18 Affect: Area, 100 gallons of water per level Distance: 10 per level or Touch Duration: Permanent Description: This miracle turns a body of water or a portion of a body of water into pure blood. The blood will make anyone who drinks it become violently ill and vomit for 1d4 days unless they Save vs Poison. Weightlessness FP Cost: 15 Affect: Self, Other or Object Distance: 10 per level or Touch Duration: 1 hour per level Description: This miracle makes a person or object take on a weight factor of 0 (o pounds) without changing any other physical properties. A Flying or swimming target gets a Save vs Miracles or they lose control of flight and or float to the surface.

Wisdom FP Cost: 9 Affect: Self or Other Distance: 10 per level or Touch Duration: 1 hour per level Description: This miracle increases a characters Wisdom Attribute by +1 per level of the Clergy. These 1st Ed High Miracles are duplicates of already existing LE Rule Miracles. Reflect Magic (same as LE Cleric Miracle Reflect Spell) Remove Curse (same as LE Cleric Miracle Remove Curse) Restore Limb (same as LE Cleric Miracle Restore Limb) Restore Sight/Hearing (same as LE Cleric Miracle Restore Sight) Resurrection (same as LE Cleric Miracle Resurrection) Wake (same as LE Cleric Miracle Wake) Water Walk (same as LE High Miracle Water Walk) Water Walk (same as LE High Miracle Water Walk)
