Applications are invited in the prescribed form for filling up following posts so as to reach the Indian Law Institute, Bhagwan Das Road, New Delhi latest by 25.10.2013. 1. Registrar (1 Post)-UR: Pay Band: Rs. 37400-67000/-, Academic Grade Pay Rs. 10000/Essential Qualifications: (1) A Masters degree with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven point scale plus LL.B. from a recognised university. (2) 15 years experience as a Lecturer in a college in Academic Grade Pay of Rs. 7000/- and above or with 8 years of experience in Academic Grade Pay of Rs. 8000/- and above including as Associate Professor alongwith experience in education administration or (i) Comparable experience in Research Establishment and/ or other Institutions of higher education or (ii) 15 years of administrative experience of which 8 years shall be as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post. 2. Associate Professor (1 Post) - 1 UR: Pay Band Rs. 37400-67000/-, Academic Grade Pay Rs. 9000/Essential Qualifications: (i) Good academic record with a Ph.D. degree in any branch of law. (ii) 55% of the marks, or equivalent grade wherever grading system is followed in the LL.M. (iii) A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and / or research in an academic / research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University/ College or Accredited Research Institution/ industry excluding the period of Ph.D. research with evidence of published work and a minimum of 5 publications as books and / or research / policy papers. (iv) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology mediated teaching learning process with evidence of having guided doctoral candidates and research students. (v) A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), set out in the UGC Regulation.

Assistant Professor (3 posts) - 1 UR, 1 ST, 1 OBC: Pay Band Rs. 15600-39100/-, Academic Grade Pay Rs. 6000/Essential Qualifications: Good academic record with at least 55% of the marks or equivalent grade where grading system is practiced at the Masters degree level LL.M. from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. NET/SLET/SET shall remain the minimum eligibility condition for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professors in University/Colleges/Institutions. Provided however, that candidates, who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions.

Computer System Administrator (1 Post) - UR: Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100/-, Grade Pay Rs. 5400/Essential Qualifications: BE (Computer Engineering/IT)/ MCA with atleast 55% marks and minimum of 5 years experience of management of hardware & software devices, Digital library and website design, knowledge of windows and Linux platform, ability to implement network security, firewall, routers etc.

Library Assistant (1 Post) UR: Pay Scale: Rs.9300-34800/-, Grade Pay Rs.4200/Essential Qualifications: Graduation with Degree/Diploma in Library Science from a recognized University. Desirable: Knowledge of Computer Applications in a Library and experience of at least one year in a reputed library.

Junior Library Assistant (2 Posts)- 1-UR ; 1-Physically Handicapped/Persons with Disability- Pay Scale: Rs. 5200-20200/-, Grade Pay Rs.2400/Essential Qualifications: Intermediate with Certificate Course in Library Science from a recognized University/Institution. Must have knowledge of English. Desirable: Experience of restoration of documents in a Library. All posts carry admissible allowances as per Central Government rules applicable to the ILI employees.

Age limit: - Registrar upto 55 years, Associate Professor upto 50 years, Assistant Professor and Computer System Administrator upto 45 years, Library Assistant upto 40 years and Junior Library Assistant upto 30 years as on last date of submission of application. The age of superannuation for the members of faculty shall be 65 years subject to opinion of a screening committee that such faculty members to be of continued utility to the Institute and such screening is to be done before attaining the age of 62 years and Registrar at present is 62 years and for others is 60 years as per the existing Service Bye-Laws of the Institute. Institute reserve the right to short-list applicants in any manner as may be considered appropriate with the approval of competent authority. Candidates having the required qualifications and experience can also be considered for appointment on deputation / contract for teaching and non-teaching posts except the post of Registrar. Faculty positions are required for research and teaching of LL.M & Post Graduate diploma courses in the area of Comparative Jurisprudence, Judicial Process, Comparative Constitutional Law, International Trade Law, Legal Research Methodology & writing skill, Intellectual Property Rights Law, Cyber Law, Environmental Law, Judicial Administration, Criminal Law, Human Rights Law & Corporate Law etc. Candidates not found suitable for higher positions can be considered for lower positions in the same category/ area of specialization.
