I would create transparency in the Townships leadership by: a. Holding meetings at times that are convenient for residents b. Making certain that minutes of meetings are available on-line within 3 working days after the meeting (currently the posting time takes up to six weeks) and that the minutes include the questions and summarized comments of the residents (currently there is no detail of questions and comments recorded).

c. I would research having all meetings videotaped and posted on the web site in real time or within 3 working days at the latest. 2. Currently Russell is the highest taxed community in Geauga County and the Trustees are putting three levies on the November ballot. Over the years Russell received monies from the State and continued to add levies. Now the State money is gone and even though this change was known, the Townships leaders made no proactive adjustments. Russell must learn to live within its means. I will help Russell accomplish this goal by working to eliminate some unnecessary assets thereby generating revenue and tightening the Township belt across the board. Following steps for performance improvement and maintaining the gains on a continuous improvement basis will contribute to Russell living within its means. 3. I will heighten Township residents awareness of the Federal and State governments initiatives to transform rural America by robbing the suburbs to pay for big-city initiatives and failures. NEOSCC, Northeast Ohio Sustainable Communities Consortium, also known as the VibrantNEO 2040 is Federally funded and State approved and led by appointed MPOs (Metropolitan Planning Organizations) who are regularly making decisions that impact rural areas like Geauga County and Russell specifically. NEOSCC openly states that its goal is to create densely populated interconnected communities surround by green space. This is a real threat that many are not aware of. Residents must take steps to demand that the funding (currently $4.25 MM for NEOSCC) for such groups be stopped immediately. I will fight for Russell Townships rural values and to maintain the freedoms we now enjoy. Whether for past accomplishments or future goals, why should voters elect you? First of all, I am not a politician. I am a conservative American citizen, longtime resident of Russell Township and business executive with a proven record of success. I am known for achieving positive results. I believe Russell needs more business sense and less political nonsense. I have successfully managed corporate budgets greater than the Townships annual budget and I have helped my clients achieve greater results with less resources. These capabilities directly transfer to the role of Trustee of Russell Township. I will not make decisions based on political leanings or personal relationships, be self-serving or impose unnecessary controls on Russell residents. I will do what is good for the many not for the complaining few. I will work to help our business owners maximize their success and our residents remain safe as they enjoy Russells unique country lifestyle. I will perform with integrity, honesty and compassion. And I will do so for a limited time rather than becoming a career politician. I am now at the time in my life that allows me to contribute more to my fellow citizens and my neighbors.
