History
It wasnt just citizens of Czechoslovakia who were interested in being educated at the Bata School. Leadership positions to work at Bata factories and stores abroad were for instance taken up by12 Indians, 14 Englishmen, 28 French, 36 Germans and 136 Yugoslavs. The BSW also trained Americans, Dutch, Egyptians, Poles, Bulgarians and Romanians. The BSW only admitted students who had completed town schools, i.e. primary schools. The age ranged from 14-15 years. The study programme lasted three years. The education comprised of three parts: work in the plant, evening classes in the school and training in the boarding house.
Tomas Bata realized very early on the importance of not only looking after his employees, but also training and educating them, since educated, self-reliant and prospective employees serve as a guarantee for the future success of the company. They are its hope. Batas vision formed the basis for setting up Bata schools. He himself lacked any higher education. He rst started thinking about how to go about developing his employees back in 1909, when preparing a new vision for the future new Zln. Even back then he counted on building an entire school district in Zln providing the basis for a Bata education.
Education game
New students gained their rst experience in the induction workshop, the so-called shoemaker school. New employees under the supervision of experienced instructors acquired their rst job skills.
Batas important Education Game got underway on 15th September 1925. It was at this time that the Bata School of Work opened its doors to students. The school was for boys with 80 pupils entering the rst grade. From the beginning, it focused on professional training and consistent social education. The boys at the Bata School of Work grew up as condent and skilled young men educated to the highest possible level, able to understand and nd their way around the organization, administration and management. Four years later, the boys school was joined by the newly formed girls school. The girls were called young women and the boys young men. The number of those interested in studying at the Bata School of Work was constantly on the rise. In 1934, 19,000 applicants applied to be admitted, with the school accepting 1,000-1,500 students each year.
Youre fteen, earn your living! This was the clear and logical principle in training new apprentices. Apprentices kept their yearbooks, in which they recorded the amounts of weekly wages, deductions for insurance, accommodation, tuition, meals and shopping for everyday needs, or travel expenses, allowances to parents and pocket money. Yearbooks were submitted each week to their educators to check. The apprentices deposited the resulting surplus into their personal accounts. The Bata Company guaranteed interest of 10% on it. Schools offered their education wherever they opened new plants, E.g. in Baovo, in Teb, in Zru nad Szavou, in Sezimovo st, in Baovany and in Svit under Tatras. The Bata School of Work became the basis for building industrial and commercial education in Zln. Activities of the schools ended with the arrival of the communist regime in the Czech Republic in 1948.

before starting their education. The subjects included German and English language courses with some subjects which students could select for themselves. Days nished with a nine oclock curfew. Saturdays included studies and sports. Sundays were free. In 1932 2,800 girls and 2,700 boys lived at the boarding houses.
Over time Bata School of Work graduates set up their own club. This was founded as a voluntary organization, and most certainly had no political ambitions. Only Bata School of Work graduates
The Bata educational system was really ingenious. Thanks to this, the number of inhabitants in Zln soon multiplied, which in turn led to growth in terms of the number of employees at Bata too. Graduates, young men and young women, found it easy to apply their skills. Not only at Bata company, but also in other businesses. Not to mention in other countries and continents. And it wasnt just skills and expertise that Bata School graduates took with them when they left. Their biggest
Students came to study at the Bata School of Work not only from all over the country, but also from different parts of the world. Logically, hostels (school) boarding houses were built for students. Of course, they were divided into boys boarding houses and boarding houses for girls. The boarding houses had many other, quite meaningful rules. The alarm-clock started ringing every morning at ve-thirty. This was immediately followed by heading out for morning exercise, performed both in summer and winter. Time was then allocated for personal hygiene, tidying rooms followed by breakfast. If you were thinking that this was followed by school classes and a bit of work experience in the afternoon, then you couldnt get further from the truth. By seven everyone had started their work in the factory. They continued their practice in the afternoon with only one longer break for lunch. Within two hours, they all managed to have lunch and had some free time for themselves. From two to ve oclock in the afternoon they again worked and had to wait until dinner nished
were able to become members of the club whose mission was to offer activities relating to education, sports and entertainment. The clubs headquarters were located on the third oor of the former Community House and its rst president was Tomas Bata Jr. (son of Tomas Bata). The BSG Club also published its own journal until 1938 called The BSG Club Newsletter. Starting in 1939 the publication went by the name Forward including the subtitle The BSG Club Newsletter. Branches of the club burgeoned in the Czech Republic like mushrooms after rain. Finally, they went international - sprouting up in Berlin, Germany, Konnagar, India and also in Borova, Yugoslavia.

Interview
Bata Shoes!
Is fashion your passion?
To me, fashion means keeping true to who you are. But due to heavy commercialization and pressure to t in, I think the word fashion has lost its meaning. Fashion should be about wearing the clothes that make you feel happy, because when you feel happy you become more productive and spread positive energy around you. I think as soon as something becomes a trend, it tends to lose its power to do this.

Why did you start blogging, and how do you keep inspired?
Im creative to the core and although I have a passion for design, I also need a place where I can write about the industry and share my design projects. My inspiration comes from everywhere. Life, nature, philosophy, psychology, and graphics get my creative juices owing. Honesty and intuition guide me. I also love browsing Pinterest. I nd a lot of inspiration there.
We love shoes! What tips do you have for choosing the right pair?
II often see people wearing stunning clothing with a cheap or unsuited pair of shoes. Id love your readers to remember that if you do not have the right shoes, even the most expensive dress in the world loses its value. The right shoe is one that enhances your outt instead of detracting from it. Lots of times I choose my shoes rst, and then decide what outt to wearthats how important shoes are! .
IRMA IBRIC was born creative! When she was only three years old she was already putting together her own outts and suggesting what colour hair bands matched best. She grew up in a family of musicians, and as a result she loves a wide range of styles including exotic rhythms, jazz, and alternative bands. In her spare time she enjoys burying her head in a good book, practicing yoga and designing new things. In fact, these shoes are one of her recent creations!

Its fair to say Richard Gere looks great in pretty much every outt - black suits him the best, and the same can be said for desperate housewife, Eva Longoria. Thick socks in open shoes in any actually! No, no and once again no! It looks awful with every outt straightaway!
In ballerinas with bold nylon socks only Here the fashion is still more tolerant, you can even wear them barefoot :) Although coloured tights are in right now!
Matching pants and shoes the latest fashion trend And when you add a matching handbag, you will be the actual fashion icon!
Be careful about deformed shoes bends Shoes, especially made of leather, can stand a lot... But even if they are still a great t, one day they will need to be replaced!
Scuffed heels Nothing which a lady can be proud of.. Walking in the city involves highly rugged terrain and it pays to take extra care.

One eye-catching element of this collection is gold. Predominantly appearing on heels, it adds a touch of decadence and a bit of French charm to the violet and petrol trend while allowing you to express your individuality. Suede ankle boot wedges and ankle boot high heels are at the core of the collection, and dynamic colour combinations abound. Violet pairs smartly with black and with white- both of which allow it to stand out well. And the hot trend of grey mixed with bottle green is sprinkled throughout the collection. If youre daring and dont mind turning heads, we recommend mixing violet with pink or sunshine yellow.

Selecting the Perfect Boot 1. Material matters. Synthetic or cloth fabrics are ne for autumn, however for winter you are denitely better off going for leather which is more resistant. 2. Size is important. If you normally wear size 38, moving up to size 39. If youre buying shoes with a pointy toe, its especially a good idea to buy a slightly bigger size. 3. Consider your shape. Choose boots according to your gure. Tall slim women can get away with any type of boot. Women with fuller gures will nd high and narrowly shaped boots most attering. If youre slightly shorter, go for boots with high heels which optically lengthen your gure.
