TITULO DE LA TESIS THE USE OF THE DIDACTIC MATERIAL AND THE CLASSROOM LANGUAGE IN THE LEARNING OF ENGLISH WITH THE STUDENTS OF 8 TH , 9TH , AND 10TH YEARS OF BASIC EDUCATION AT 27 DE FEBRERO HIGH SCHOOL, ACADEMIC YEAR 2009-2010. 3. RESUMEN Establecer si el material didctico usado por los profesores contribuye en el aprendizaje del idioma Ingls con los estudiantes de 8vo, 9no, and 10mo aos de Educacin Bsica del Colegio 27 de Febrero, Ao Acadmico 2009-2010. Determinar si el lenguaje de la clase usado por los profesores ayuda a mejorar el aprendizaje del idioma Ingls de los estudiantes de 8vo, 9no, and 10mo aos de Educacin Bsica del Colegio 27 de Febrero, Ao Acadmico 2009-2010. Las tcnicas usadas fueron la encuesta aplicada a 5 profesores y 84 estudiantes y la observacin directa de la clase llevada a cabo en Junio del 2010. Se concluyo que la mayora de los profesores no usan suficiente material didctico en sus clases y esto es importante para lograr un aprendizaje efectivo en los estudiantes. Otro importante factor fue que la mayora de los profesores usan el mtodo de traduccin gramtica en sus clases lo cual evita el desarrollo de las destrezas, creatividad y autoestima de los estudiantes. 4. RESUMEN To establish if the didactic material used by the teachers contributes in the learning of the English language with the students of 8th, 9th, and 10th years of Basic Education at 27 de Febrero High School, Academic year 2009-2010. To determine if the classroom language used by teachers help to improve the English language learning of the students of 8th, 9th, and 10th years of Basic Education at 27 de Febrero High School, Academic year 2009-2010. The techniques used were the survey applied to 5 teachers and 84 students and the direct observation of the class in June 2010. It was concluded that most of the teachers do not use enough didactic material in their classes and it is important to achieve an effective students learning. Another important factor was that most of the teachers use grammar translation method in their classes which avoids the development students skills, creativity and self steam. 4.
