Founded by America Tang, a
successful entrepreneur who as a
child immigrated to the United
States from Peru, the Lending Hope
Foundation was established to
reach a global community of
similar entrepreneurs, albeit facing
a drastically different set of
opportunities. We are a non-profit
organization looking to better the
lives of those who would otherwise
have no means to start or grow
their business.
The Lending Hope Foundation team
understands that hard work alone
is not always the only determinant
of success, but that strategically
injected microfinance can be the
catalyst to reaching the prosperity
that so many long for.
Who we help ...
The Lending Hope Foundation
typically finances clients who are
the extreme low-income families
who are not the ideal candidates
for traditional financial institutions.
Our clients are usually self-
employed, micro-enterprise

businesses in rural and semi-rural
areas.

Women comprise of 70% of the world’s
poor; mostly unable to find steady
employment, resorts to engage in self-
employment through small businesses.
Micro-financing, once considered an
outcast, has now been recognized as a
very effective way to alleviate poverty.
The concept is simple, yet so powerful.
Through the help of Lending Hope, we aim
to help them help themselves, one family
at a time. In the process we hope to be
able to improve the quality of lives of
thousands of families and help them
create wealth and allow them the chance
to slowly climb out of the chronic poverty
that has plagued these communities for so
long.

loan from Lending Hope in Rio Seco,
Cieneguilla, Lima, Peru. She knits sweaters,
scarves, hats, etc.
