In support of the Iranian people and in condemnation of the abuses being committed by the
Iranian government we ask you to join us and stand together for:

1) Civil and human rights for the people of Iran;

2) Stopping the abuse of power – the imprisonment, torture and killing;

3) Solidarity with the Iranian people. To our Iranian brothers and sisters: We have heard
your voices, and you are not alone!
This is a peaceful and non-political demonstration for the human rights in Iran.

 A summary of the situation of horror in Iran
The week after the presidential elections the people of
Iran came to the streets to contest the official results
which show evidence of corruption and do not reflect the
will of the people.
The authorities replied by abusing the use of power and
imposing a policy of terror:
– they are tracking the demonstrators (and their families)
and imprisoning, torturing (violence, sexual,
psychological) and killing/executing them under no
justification or under false accusations (like drug dealing).
– they do not allow any international media and have
strongly decreased the communications with the outside
world (telephone, internet,…) to avoid the world
knowing.
One example of this terror are the declarations of some
Iranian doctors who were passing through Paris, to Le
Figaro International (06/07/2009, “Iran: Doctors
denounce terror in the hospitals”) – here are some
excerpts:
– “Since the beginning of the anti-Ahmadinejad
demonstrations, militias and secret police have imposed a
policy of terror in the hospitals. They stalk the wounded
without mercy”, he said.
– More than 92 dead.
– “One could see that bullets had traveled diagonally
through their torsos, showing that they had been fired
upon from above, from a roof”, comments the second
doctor.
– a report of the bodies of six young men … “They were
killed by neck shot. Their skulls had been crushed and
their brains opened, without doubt to retrieve the bullet
to remove the traces of the crime”
– To provide cover for this kind of attacks, doctors have
been forced to attest that those whose bodies had been
brought to their hospitals had ‘died on the operating
table’.
– an emergency physician in Erfan hospital, was even
“punished” for standing up to the militias. “He
disappeared for thirty-six hours, and was then found half-
conscious and disfigured outside the hospital”.
– under the pretext of “organ donation”, all traces of
bullets were removed from the bodies. “The parents were
forced to accept this if they wanted to retrieve the body
for burial”.
– burials are conducted under strict surveillance. “The
tombstone may not state the cause of death”
But the people of Iran did not give up and are continuing
to fight for their rights/freedom, and have been able to
send information to the world through several media
(mobile phone, internet, youtube, twitter,…).
Now the world is standing in support of the Iranian
people to let them know that they are not alone and to
let the Iranian authorities know that we are aware of
what is happening and that they cannot continue with
the terror. Several world institutions (International
Amnesty, Medicine without Borders, Reporters without
Borders,…) and personalities (Noam Chomski, Kasparov,
Robert Redford, Desmond Tutu, Joan Baez, U2,
Madonna,...) are already supporting this cause.
