2013 Hasty Generalization-The author uses this fallacy when she states This causes younger, more gullible women to have unwanted pregnancies with their greater risks. She is making a broad generalization about young women and their state of mind, without any further proof of how young women act in todays society Hasty Generalization-The author uses this term again when she states Pro-lifers condemn the Chinese for forcing women with two or more children to abort. The author is making a sweeping generalization about the mind-set of Pro-lifers and their thoughts on abortion in China. False Analogy- This fallacy is being used when the author states The risk of women dying from oral contraceptives is about 1in 1.7 million or about that of being struck by lightning She is comparing the likelihood of being killed by oral contraceptives to the likelihood of being struck by lightning, and how improbable it would be.

Loaded Label or Definition-This fallacy is used when the author states Pro-lifers discourage women from using safe, effective and affordable contraceptives this quote could be seen as a loaded label because the author uses the term pro-lifers and to a lot of Americans that term brings up images of republicans who are opposed to abortion and are less interest in the safety of women. She uses discourage as a negative connotation and safe and effective as fact for the use of said contraceptives. Red-Herring/Tu Quo-The author uses this term when she states Pro-lifers condemn the Chinese for forcing women with more than two children to abort The author in her letter goes on about the destruction of forcing women in America to have their babies, and the risks of doing so. Right off the bat the reader can see the viewpoint of the author and her intent.

Part of the Whole-The author uses this term when she states The World Health Organization's International Agencies for the Research on Cancer concluded that the use of combined oral contraceptives slightly modifies the risk of breast cancer etc. former data on oral contraceptivesrelated cancers were older pills containing more estrogen than the current pills. The author is picking out the part and not looking at the whole. She is focusing at a small portion of what oral contraceptives can do to women, she is focusing on the less harmful examples of the contraceptives. She is also using the persitgious title of the organization

The author uses the terms responsible and hardworking as a way to make those not in the NRA, and who dont support the use of guns something other than those two terms.
