Pristine ganga

The holiest river ever existed on earth

River SARASWATI had disappeared from our globe Now Save GANGA,make it pollution free.
GANGAJI is not a small physical entity. Right now there are five stages through which it flows. And it has been declared a national river. Uttarakhand flash flood disaster engulfing thousands of lives somehow seem to proclaiming that those lives deserves to suffer death as they treat pilgrimage centres as picnic spots and dont even think about the damage caused to the environment and to Gangaji in particular by rampant spiritual tourism. Activist for environment allege that despite the setting up of the National Ganga River Basin Authority (NGRBA) the damage to river has not stopped yet. There are alternatives exist for limited hydro-electricity generation, so there must be a call for an immediate halt to all constructions on the dams on the river ganga and for allowing its unimpeded ecological flow.

Uniqueness of river Ganga

There is no river in the world that has come through the effort of a human being. Its importance is not related merely to water. And if you speak merely of pollution, then would you use so-called mineral water in place of Gangajal ? So what is special about Gangajal ? Bhagheerath does penance for its descent not for drinking or bathing purposes but for riddance of rogam (physical illness), shokam (mental illness), taapam (), paapam (spiritual illness). Adi shankaracharyas Ganga Stotram: , , , , ||

O bhagvati ! take away my diseases, sorrows, difficulties, sins and wrong attitudes. You are the essence of the three worlds and you are like a necklace around the earth. O Devi ! you alone are my refuge in this world.

Scientifically recognised special qualities of river Gangaji

The common man knows only that Gangajal does not deteriorate.

1)Supposing you take water that has gone through reverse osmosis, given ultraviolet treatment, etc. If you keep it for two or more years, it will go bad, but Gangajal wont . Gangajal has bactericidal properties. These facts are from the 2011 report of NEERI(National Environmental Engineering research Institute). 2)When you keep Gangajal in a container there is some very fine slit that settles. And if say any bacteria enters the water, the slit releases copper and chromium. Copper is bactericidal and fungicidal, and chromium is very toxic for micro organisms . That property is not in water . Gangajal has radioactivity that is at least one-and-a-half times that of any river in the world. And that radioactivity is of the type not harmful for human health, but beneficial. Many diseases causing organisms are treated using radioactive therapy. Now this radioactive property must come from the rocks of that area. If dam is built on river Ganga, the flow is killed, velocity decreases, the rockcs will not dissolve, and this property will not come into Gangajal. And if it does, then when the water is held behind the barrage, the slit settles. And the water of the three streams- Bhagirathi, Alaknanda and Mandakini- is exactly the same. The three meet at Devprayag. So there should be no structure built on these three rivers that affects the properties of Gangajal .

Bacteriophagal properties
NEERI says Bhaghirathi and Alaknanda have unique bacteriophages. A phage or virus is a kind of macromolecule. It cannot replicate itself in nature. It has to penetrate the body of a suitable host and use its mechanism to replicate. Now they found the properties of the bacteriophage,, but it could be that macromolecule has come from Himalayan vegetation. Even if we call it a strange form of life, it has somehow been generated in the Himalayan region.
