1.2.3 Replace Micro Node B Unit

Heavy Equipment The Micro Node B weighs 25 kg. Injury to personnel and damage to equipment can result if it is dropped or otherwise mishandled. Use suitable equipment to lift the Micro Node B. Do NOT lift it from the mounting frame until it is properly supported.

1.2.3.1 Dismount Micro Node B

If the protective cover is used, go to step (1). If no protective cover is used, go to step (2). Heavy Equipment Use suitable equipment to lift the Micro Node B. Do NOT lift it from the mounting frame until it is properly supported. To dismount the Micro Node B: 1. Open the front protective cover on the Micro Node completely until the front cover is fastened with the magnetic clip to access the COBO. 2. Loosen the retaining bolts on the front cover of the COBO and remove it from the COBO base. 3. Connect the Node B terminal to the MMI-ETH port on the MCON in the COBO. See the figure MCON Layout (5)for the position of the MMI connector. 4. Use the Node B terminal to display the following information and note it for use later in the procedure: All module states All outstanding alarms All basic configuration All IP settings. If connection to the Micro Node B is not possible (for example, if the internal hardware crashes), go directly to step 8. 5. Use the Node B terminal to set the Micro Node B communication state to offline (allocation of configuration rights). This prohibits A1353-UR OMC-R management. 6. Use the Node B terminal to back up the Micro Node B configuration data. Enter the backup FTP root directory. The MSUMU then automatically puts the backup file on the FTP server. 7. Use the Node B terminal to set the Micro Node B administrative state to locked. This removes telecommunications traffic. 8. Remove the AC power plug from the bottom of the Micro Node B. If the optional fan module is installed in the cover top, disconnect the power and alarm cables to the fan from the COBO. See the figure ACCO Layout (4) for the position of the AC and fan connectors.

2.2.3.2 Adjust Local MSUMU Clock

To adjust the local MSUMU clock: 1. Open the NEM-B Clock Configuration window and note the Current Clock Synchronization value. Set the Clock Synchronization mode to free-running. 2. On the frequency counter: Select a high input impedance (1 MOhm). Select a long measurement time (at least 10 seconds). Choose a high sensitivity level (about 2 V). Check that the frequency counter warm-up is sufficient (minimum of 10 minutes). 3. Wait until triggering occurs on the input signal port of the frequency counter. Then proceed as follows: If the indicated frequency is between 2 166 666.658 Hz and 2 166 666.676 Hz, go to step 5. If not, an adjustment is necessary. Go to step 4. 4. Use the Node B terminal (see theEvolium Node B NEM-B User Guide) to adjust the MBS clock for a frequency of between 2 166 666.658 Hz and 2 166 666.676 Hz. 5. When the adjustment is finished, open the Clock Configuration window and reset the Clock Synchronization to its initial value as noted in step 1. 6. Disconnect the frequency counter from MCON. 7. Disconnect the MMI cable from the MCON and remove the terminal. 8. Replace the COBO front cover in position over the base, and tighten the retaining bolts. 9. Close the bottom section of the front protective cover on the Micro Node B, and lock it.
