Our biggest challenge in the North Ridgeville City Schools is to educate all children to be life long learners with the skills and knowledge they need to compete in society and be successful. In order to accomplish this it will take financial stability, academic excellence and facilities to provide the best for the children of our community. Our financial situation is definitely on the up as the community so generously passed an operating levy. Our academic situation is improving each year as we have been able to reinstate course offerings, reduce our class sizes, offer all day Kindergarten and start an alternative High School program. The last part of the equation is our facilities, we are out of space to house the growing population of our student body, as each year our enrollment increases. Although we have been planning for new facilities for many years, the economic condition of the country a few years ago was not favorable to pursue a large endeavor, as the economy is making headway we will once again look to improve our facilities for our children. The project of new facilities will be a major undertaking over many years that will impact student learning, assist in maintaining class sizes and will allow for the continued growth of the community.

16.Whether for past accomplishments or future goals, why should voters elect you?

I believe that I have proven myself to be committed, dedicated and involved in the North Ridgeville Schools for the past 16 years. I have served on the board for the past 9 years with 7 of those being as Board President. I will remain committed to the financial stability of the district along with maintaining academic excellence for our students. I have dedicated time and energy into our schools so that all children can succeed. I am a firm believer in being involved in this community and have done so over the 17 years of residency in North Ridgeville through numerous organizations and associations throughout the city including Board appointed committees, Levy Committees and PTA. I have a desire to advance North Ridgeville City Schools to a top school district within the county, region and state. We continue to make forward progress each year with the challenges that the state and federal laws require us to undertake and I would love to continue to be a part of our students successes.
