Can You Understand Me?

Things seem so much harder for a person going against the odds, but thats only because it is much harder. Youre an outcast and everyone is against you, trying to bring you down. The Jealous Ones are the people who dont understand. They want to but they dont know how to express that feeling without being hateful and tormenting. They do not want to seem stupid for being interested in someone they cannot quite figure out. Understanding someone else is a basic human emotion. Connections to one another are what forge human relationships. Without understanding there would be no friendships, no marriages, and no children being bore everyday. There would be no compassion or love toward our fellow man. Jesus, Buddha, and other religious figures have said to treat others as you want to be treated. But in order to do that dont we need to understand and try to relate to the one in need? Yes, we forget that understanding goes hand in hand with compassion which then in turn goes hand in hand with love. They are all intertwined and they forever will be. Love, understanding, compassion, and forgiveness are all world changing attributes. Jesus understood, related, and accepted everyone. Buddha did not kill anything for he realized that everything had its own being and soul. Mother Teresa realized there were other people in need around the world, sympathized with them, and sought out to help them. If everyone in the world tried harder to understand one another there would be no wars, there would be no poverty, there would be no rape, murder, abuse, divorce, and cheating. Close-minded people kill literally. They hurt and they maim, they start wars in every continent. But when you understand that another human is just like you then you realize that killing another human is not correct. Open-minded people can save the world.

They are the ones scouring the world trying to form bonds, trying to understand, trying to help the ones in need. Being open-minded can save people from gay and lesbian torture clinics, can help save third world countries from oppressive dictators, and it can help the young soldier who just got back from Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait, or Saudi Arabia, who has post traumatic stress disorder. Being open-minded can help bring you closer to whatever higher being one might believe in. Open-mindedness could mean being accepting of all ideas, but it could also mean you accept all ideas and try to help everyone who is being put down for their beliefs, for their ideas, for being themselves. Understanding, accepting, and helping out a fellow man, that is truly being open-minded and understanding. Do you understand me?
