This very important topic has being central to all of our clinicals. The need to chart accurately and concisely is of the utmost importance to ensure our clients receive the highest standards of psychiatric nursing care. (7.07), (7.08). Ethical issues in psychiatric nursing Week 13. Through my clinical experience I have become aware of some of the ethical considerations that are faced by many of the psychiatric nurses in BC. Developing an awareness of these ethical considerations is the first step in promoting changes to eliminate them. Of particular concern to me are the apparent subjective diagnoses of psychiatric illness in the absence of quantifiable data.
