Stellar is a fairytale about the origin of mankind and a fierce battle between the opposing forces of good and evil. Stunning music will accompany the cinematographic art. Stellar is a cross-over project and connected to an international album release of the band Stellar, created by Manon Polare and Joshua Petit. Theyve written a special song to feature the movie, and parts of the movie will be integrated in the video accompanying the album release. So, well be creating a short movie and a music video simultaneously. Be ready for Vikings, nature, mystical influences, slow-motion, fire, water, magic and mindblowing costumes, masks & make-up. Its going to be EPIC!

We, the Heyl Brothers, have already successfully created films in many genres. However, weve always felt a desire to create a brutal, masculine Viking action movie. On a personal level this movie is a new, exciting challenge and were confident on fulfilling this dream together with our talented, trustworthy Action Reaction Productions crew.

Duality displayed in an earthlike arena in another dimension. The storys full of ancient symbolism and wisdom, these topics always intrigued me and triggered my imagination as a filmmaker. Together with Manon Polare we combined several aspects of these fascinating topics into a fairytale with a classic three-act structure and a clear narrative. A story can be told in a million ways, but above all we value authenticity. Our authentic approach defines our work, its the Heyl Brothers signature. One of our standards included the use of new techniques in digital workflow, some of which we developed. Techniques that serve the storytelling by adding an extra dimension to the scene. The techniques used in this movie will be a display of 7 years of research, testing and developing. This will be the ultimate showcase of our talents and our bridge to a full feature film. Were now surrounded by an amazing talented team, which we formed throughout the years. We are finally gathering some budget, which gives us the opportunity to expand our horizon like never before. Synopsis

1930, when 8 years old Lotus questions the meaning of her name, her grandfather has an extraordinary tale to tell. His story takes her on a journey to where it once all began, when raging elements ruled our planet. When their first alliance was forged a new balance manifested, giving birth to innocence by the creation of a male (Kreios) and a female (Ishtar). Both unaware of the evil (Celthor) also incarnated on their planet, they form a magical open union. Hungry for power, the dark force is attracted and finds a way into the heart of Kreios, forcing Ishtar to retrieve from her beloved world. Many centuries go by and slowly the darkness runs deep in the soil, poisoning the earth. Meanwhile Ishtar awaits her return, providing her power only for a select secret group of followers: the order of Merkabah. A new hope for mankind lights the skies when Aaron is born, he presents the sixth and final birth of innocence. When Aaron retrieves the lost power of Ishtar in his heart, Celthor knows and longs for his destruction. Possessed by evil Kreios, now a mighty Viking king, gathers a group of Viking warriors and sets out to destroy the young Aaron. Protected by the order of Merkabah, Aaron is taken to a sacred ritual where Ishtar is summoned back to earth. When Ishtar returns in a Merkabah of blue light, the reunion is quickly disturbed by Kreios and his bloodthirsty Vikings. Most of the Merkabah followers are killed in a fierce and epic battle, protecting Ishtar whos fled the scene with the last hope for mankind. After a thrilling chase through the woods Ishtar and her six stand face to face with Kreios and his warriors. In a final, brutal attack Kreios jumps to destroy Ishtar with his fierce flaming sword. Suddenly the earth trembles and an enormous power manifests in Ishtar, enforced by the six. A giant spurt of water emerges from Ishtars hands, destroying Kreios and his sword. Ahriman is defeated and the Viking warriors flee the scene. In the smoking ashes of Kreioss remains a newborn baby is found. Ishtar recognizes her soul companion and takes him with her. In the newfound harmony, together they walk into the deep forest and disappear.

The Heyl Brothers (Justin Heyl & Jol Heyl) are two talented award winning filmmakers who decided to keep it in the family when they teamed up as a producing/directing duo. Both graduated at the prestigious Utrecht school of arts, they are ready to seriously kick some ass. They seem to hold the ingredients for cinematographic gold. Its no surprise theyve won an award for every single release since they started in 2010. With their unique talent and cutting edge technical approach their names will soon be established worldwide. Early in life Manon developed a strong interest in music and dance, as a young girl she started writing songs to express her thoughts and emotions. Like a diary she kept them for herself, secretly dreaming of becoming a singer one day. When she heard about auditions for a local theatre play at the age of 16 she decided to give it a try... and got herself a part! The play turned out to be a success as they performed at festivals across the country. Manon didnt stay un-noticed, a producer saw her perform and asked her for his pop project, they recorded 2 singles and a video. The following years she worked on several projects, exploring different styles of music to keep developing herself. In 1999 she decided to take a rest from it all and started travelling, while discovering new places she fell in love with Mexico and got herself a job as a piano-bar singer and dancer in a small diner-show. Singing and dancing every day gave her the confidence she needed to make the next steps. After living in the sun for a year she decided to get her songs out there and moved back to Holland. While working as a M.C/Vocalist in clubs she met a couple of producers who wanted to work with her and within a year she signed her first publishing-deal. After releasing a few dance records, including the major hit single The beat goes on, she wanted more and felt ready to work on her own songs and discover her own style. A friend told her about the Tiestos search for talent contest and encouraged her to send him a tape. Esmaye won! Out of hundreds of contestants they chose her for her exceptional voice and qualities as a songwriter and offered her a record-deal. She released her debut single Easy and soon after that the worlds most famous DJ asked her to accompany him on his Just Be tour. Together they performed at prestigious festivals throughout Europe. After the tour she totally committed herself to her own career. She wrote and released her debut album Elements in Me alongside two beautiful videos in 17 countries worldwide. Now shes back in the studio working on her 2nd album & writing for several EDM collaborations.

Joshua Petit is an upcoming composer/producer with a big feel for epicness. Leaving a magical touch on every production, Joshua is definitely set for greatness. With an already impressive contribution to the Dutch movie scene and his own sounddesign company, Stellar seemed a logical step on his path towards the stars.

Action Reaction Productions is passionate about cinematography, we aim to deliver exceptional value to every production. The current industry is full of talent, a story can be told in a million ways by a million people. We distinguish ourselves by our capability to develop new audiovisual technologies. Action Reaction Productions created EDI (extreme detail image), a technical interpretation to post-workflow on high end 4k digital raw footage. In 2012 we produced a short The Spirit: Done in 60 seconds, which features a combination of EDI and our interpretation of the visual style created in Sin City & The Spirit. We were extremely challenged by the 48hrs contest for which we created Carnivore. Ultimately we were able to deliver a high end production with a technical level rarely achieved in this contest. We are currently in the process of creating our next ambitious challenges: MOTION BULLET TIME, INTERACTIVE REACTION 2.0 & HDR-EDI. Techniques that contribute to the story without overpowering them, leaving a footprint we would like transform into our trademark. Besides the technical value, Action Reaction Productions strongly believes in the power of TEAMWORK. Together we are strong and capable of the greatest accomplishments. A NEW TAKE ON CREDIT SEQUENCE
Action Reaction Productions aims to deliver a full concept for every production, from opening sequence to end credits. This led to a new development for end credits, very different from the current industry standards. Guided by our strong believe in teamwork we exclusively photographed our entire cast & crew, giving them their moment of fame in the end credits. This is our Face-by-the-name principle, and even got us an award when we first applied it for the 48HRS contest. This was a first for 48HRS worldwide, as they invented the award especially for Action Reaction Productions. This was a great honor and encouragement. An advantage of this way of displaying end credits is keeping the audience alert until the end, which is beneficial for sponsors and collaborating companies.

Besides our Face-by-the-name end credits principle we also display our cast & crew on posters. Besides the official posters for marketing purposes we also design cast & crew posters in style of the production. We always plan a photo shoot on the set to give us awesome footage to work with.

Action Reaction Productions loves film companions. Its a great way to view your own production from first draft to finished product. We hire special set photographers on every production to capture each moment. We ensure not just the key players (actors, directors, producers) are portrayed, but everyone working on the set. From runner to poster designer, from make-up artist to grip. Everyone contributes their part to the final product. We will always do our best to respect and live by this value. Experience teaches us that its not only a nice book to reflect on but also a way to keep the team spirit high.
