Additional Responsibilities: I have been assigned the responsibilities of Head of Management Information systems Division which comprises of creating and managing employees database, Installation and operationalization of local area network (LAN) based on optical fibres, managed switch technologies. Our group is providing internet facilities to approximately 200 users, providing institutional email Ids and managing the website of the organisation (www.csio.nic.in) A virtual instrumentation lab a centralized facility has been established and made functional. It consists of desktops PCs, Industrial PCs, LABVIEW developer suits, data acquisition cards , matlab softwares , microcontrollers and digital signal processing kits .This facility is Wi Fi enabled , along with access to all the users group inside the organisation for implementation of time bound projects. It is one amongst the best facilities in the whole northern region. During my tenure 110 desktop PCs, 25 laptops, 35 printers, and 20 scanners have been procured and installed among various groups. Video conferencing facility with multipoint provision, 42 inches flat panel display with speaker and mikes have been configured and successfully installed.

I am married to Mitali and we have a 8+year-old daughter, Mahika I am committed to contributing to the community, and engage in activities ranging from donating blood, and involved in various activities such as collecting funds for Durga Pooja, in Bengali Society - Kalibari, Chandigarh. Merit Promotion as Scientist C, from 1st January 2002 Youngest Scientist in position of Head of Division. I am fond of travel, reading and the outdoors. I enjoy walking and running, whenever possible.
