Today KG-12th grade students will be allowed to wear a college shirt in lieu of a school shirt. The shirt will need to meet the school dress code requirements: no tank tops, sleeveless, midriff shirts, inappropriate language/logos.

2013 FCS HOMECOMING WAS A GREAT ONE!


With only a few minor bumps in the road, the SGA & their sponsor, Jennifer Edwards, were able to make the 2013 Homecoming one that will be remembered. A big THANK YOU goes out to the students, staff, & community for helping make this Homecoming a big success. Connie Sawyer & Bobby Langley, the Grand Parade Marshalls, wanted to express their gratitude for being given the honor to represent Franklin County School in the Homecoming Parade.

**FREE Student Flu Shots: The School Health nurses & FCHD will be offering free flu shots to students on Wed, Oct. 30.
Info & consent forms are being sent home with the students. Parents/Guardians must fill out & return the consent forms ASAP to the school nurses in order for your child/children to receive the flu shot.

**GCSC Scholarship Workshops: Workshops available for anyone interested in applying for 2014-15 scholarships. Open to
parents, guardians, advisors, & counselors. Workshops will be held at Gulf Coast State College, Student Union East Building, 2nd Floor, Room 232. All presentations will begin at 7:30pm EST. High School Honors Scholarships- Oct. 29 & Nov. 12 General & Endowed Scholarships- Nov. 5 & Nov. 19

Miscellaneous **SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS NEEDED: The Franklin County School District is in need of substitute teachers. Applications are available online at www.franklincountyschools.org or at the FCS front office. **UPDATE on The NEST 21st Century After School Program: The Franklin County School District does not yet have grant approval from the Department of Education on the Century 21st Grant which funds the after school program in Eastpoint & Carrabelle. GED INFO The next GED Test will be given Oct. 21 & 22 at the Franklin County School library at 6:00pm. To register for the test or for classes, contact Maxine Creamer @ 670-4481.
