Detailed Course Outcomes:

Objective 1:
1.1 To become familiar with the different temperature scales and units and the terms related to pressure and pressure measuring devices.

Objective 2:
2.1 To understand the phases and properties of pure substances and their associated phase-change processes. 2.2 To understand the property diagrams for phase-change processes (T- v, P-v, and T-s diagrams). 2.3 To be able to adequately utilize the property tables. 2.4 To Ability to successfully describe the state of thermodynamic equilibrium both qualitatively and quantitatively through the determination of thermodynamic properties of the system. 2.5 To be able to successfully apply the specific heats approximation. 2.6 Ability to successfully apply the equations of state for ideal gases. 2.7 Ability to successfully apply the equations of state for real gases and to be able to use the generalized compressibility chart.
