The elimination of tie-rod bolts from the breaker also eliminates the most common cause of downtime.
Moreover the serious consequences of using a breaker with an undetected broken bolt are eliminated. Service
operations are very easy and economical. By simply removing the accumulator, all bushings and the piston are
immediately accessible.
SILENCED VERSION
The piston is not directly in contact with the cylinder but it slides
in a series of guide bushings. When resealing is necessary it is
possible to remove the piston and bushings without loosening the
breaker tie-rods. This cost saving design is exclusive to OPEL -
SOCOMEC.
