Modes of Instruction: Lectures, Workshops and Tutorials. Recommended Text(s): BPP Unit 13: Professional Development. Intelligent Business: Skills Book Upper Intermediate Common Skills covered: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,16,17 and 18 This unit will be assessed using continual assessment (workshops 60%) plus the development and presentation of a Personal Development Plan and an E-Portfolio (40%). The learning outcomes covered by each piece of assessed work are shown in the assignment briefs. The assignments will cover required common skills and assess the progress of students in the whole course. Outcomes and assessment criteria Learning Outcomes On successful completion of this unit a learner will: 1 Understand how self-managed learning can enhance lifelong development 2 Be able to take responsibility for own personal and professional development 3 Be able to implement and continually review own personal and professional development plan 4 Be able to demonstrate acquired interpersonal and transferable skills.
