TASK:-2 Among all the Brands/Products in India, I would like to market TATA Sky because it has a very high

brand value and very good service quality. The TATA Group is one of Indias largest and most respected business conglomerates. It comprises diversified businesses in sectors such as materials, engineering, services, energy, information systems & communications, consumer products and chemicals. The Group and its enterprises have been steadfast and distinctive in their adherence to business ethics and their commitment to corporate social responsibility. This is a legacy that has earned the Group the trust of many millions of stakeholders in measure few business houses anywhere in the world can match. Tata Sky is a JV between the TATA Group and STAR. Tata Sky DTH endeavors to offer Indian viewers a world-class television viewing experience through its satellite television service. Tata Sky was selected as a SUPER BRAND for the year 2009-2010 by an independent and voluntary council of experts known as Super brands Council. It is the only Indian DTH to have won this distinction. Tata Sky had a subscriber base of 10 million customers, as of 31st October 2012. TATA Sky is a direct broadcast satellite television provider in India, using MPEG2 and MPEG-4 digital compression technology, transmitting usingINSAT 4A at 83.0E. Incorporated in 2004, Tata Sky is a JV between the TATA Group and STAR. But In March 2010, Sun Microsystems partnered with Tata Sky to provide IT Infrastructure solutions and support for the launch of the company's direct-to-home (DTH) television. After 2011, TATA Sky+ started selling only HD Version of TATA Sky+ know as TATA Sky+ HD Tata Sky is a basic set-top-box offering picture and sound along with interactive services. Tata Sky HD was launched on June 14, 2010 and has channels in their native resolution of 1080i or 720p. The STB is compatible with 5.1 CH surround sound as well.

The service currently offers HD channels - MTunes HD, National Geographic Channel HD, Discovery HD World, STAR Movies HD, STAR Plus HD, STAR Cricket HD, STAR World HD, STAR Gold HD, ESPN HD, Zee TVHD, Sony HD, Colors HD, On December 25, 2011 Tata Sky launched Video on Demand(Vod) services for their Tata Sky+ HD set-top boxes. Among the various products and brands I would not like to market the Reliance Digital TV because reliance company has very low customer value and company services are very poor. Reliance digital TV doesnt not provide good service and take long time to solve customer problems i.e. delay in customer service support times is a very big concern. Issues like service interruption, advance balance cut without installation, disconnected network etc. is most often found. Signal quality becomes weak after antenna equipment gets rusted and in adverse weather conditions. In this busy world, where nobody have a single minute time to spend worthless, the Company like Reliance should offer value added, handy and transparent services to save costumers time. The company is offering online recharge facility. but there is no facility to select the specific pack directly at the time of recharging. Company is forcing costumers to call costumer care after recharging to get the pack activated, in which, miscommunication may happen. Its good that, the company is offering 24 hour customer care service but is through call centers, who are in practical acting like recording machines and unable to resolve any serious issues like financial matters, costumer grievances etc. The company should form a team of costumer grievance cell for rapid resolution of the grievances. In such way, costumers will become satisfied and help the companys reputation grow up.
