This is a course designed to meet the needs of the older student. If you want to travel, meet new people from around the world and experience English life and culture, we highly recommend this course. By combining a language course with excursions and social events, you get the best of both worlds. Social events are negotiated by the group but may include an excursion to Cambridge, afternoon tea, a boat trip down the Thames, or a visit to Hampton court with its beautiful gardens and maze. Classes take place in the mornings for 15 hours per week. We aim to build your confidence in speaking and listening by building systematically on what you already know. English spoken by native speakers often seems so quick that you might feel youll never understand it, but its surprising how just a few lessons can make all the difference.

If you have very specific needs or want a lot of individual attention then why not take private lessons? You can choose a time convenient to you and study as many or as few hours per week as you like. We will send you a needs analysis so that you can tell us exactly what you want, then we plan a course of study and match you with a teacher who can meet your requirements. A one-to-one course is ideal if you: have very specific needs want more flexibility in the hours you study are a beginner need specialist vocabulary want to make exceptionally fast progress want a lot of individual attention would like plenty of correction focus very closely on the areas of language you find difficult need to soften your accent
