RESEARCH PLAN TITLE: The Feasibility of Avocado Seeds (Persea americana) as an Ink Pigment A.

Question or Problem being addressed: a. Can avocado seeds be a good ink substitute for commercial ones? B. Hypotheses a. If avocado seeds are used, it will be an effective ink pigment. C. Description in detail of method or procedures: 1. Cut the avocado seeds using a knife and dry them under the sun. 2. Toast the dried seeds under a low fire heat. 3. Powder the toasted seeds using a mortar and pestle. 4. Add the specific amount of Ethanol alcohol, vinegar, and water gel in each specified amount of powdered seeds and mix them. 5. Strain the solution using cheesecloth and test it. D. Risks and Safety Potential risks are accidents that might happen during the toasting of dried seeds and cutting of avocado seeds using a knife. Possible risks might also be due to the adding and mixing of the solutions, together with the pulverized seeds.

Precautions taken shall include the following: 1. Ask assistance for adult guardians in toasting and cutting the avocado seeds. 2. Wear face mask in toasting the seeds. 3. Wash hands after mixing the solutions and wear gloves if possible. E.
