1. Clean and wash the mutton. 2. Marinate it in a mixture of crushed tomatoes, ginger garlic, dhania jeera, red chilli powder, haldi, kothmir, phudina, garam masala, curd and lemon. 3. Heat oil in a pan and fry potatoes cut into cubes. 4. Cut onions into slices and deep fry them. Then crush the fried onions to make a paste 5. In one cup oil saut the onion paste and add the mutton mixture. Let it cook on low flame. 6. Half cook the rice separately. 7. Once the mutton is cooked, add the rice on top and let both cook on low flame (dum). 8. Mix kesar with milk and spread this mixture on the rice. 9. Now let the rice cook on low flame for 20 minutes with a closed lid.
