INSTALLATION

!CAUTION ! This product is not intended for life or safety applications Installing sensors in an energized motor control center or on any energized conductor can be hazardous. Severe injury or death can result from electrical shock during contact with high voltage conductors or related equipment. Disconnect and lock-out all power sources during installation. Applications shown are suggested means of installing sensors, but it is the responsibility of the installer to ensure that the installation is in compliance with all national and local codes. Installation should be attempted only by individuals familiar with codes, standards, and proper safety procedures for high-voltage installations. Do not rely on status indications of device exclusively to determine of power is present in conductor. 1. Ensure power conductor to be monitored is locked out and disconnected from the power source! 2. Attach sensor to conductor to be monitored:

Install on LINE side for when using with variable frequency drives. SPAN adjustment is used to set the full-scale of the sensor to match to load being monitored. It may be set to correlate the maximum 20 mA output to loads from 100 TO 300 A. While operating maximum load, measure sensor output current, adjust SPAN, such that the sensor output current correlates to 20 mA (or less, if desired, when monitoring for overcurrent). NOTE: On low amperage applications (i.e., x < 2A) the monitored conductor may be looped through the sensor multiple times to increase measured current. Monitored current = initially measured current X number of wraps.
