19/09/2013 Thursday September Production log At The start of the lesion we learnt about Tumblr the website we will

use to post our work over the next two years also we learnt about composition and Rule of thirds. The main task for the session was to learn about camera shots such as Medium close up, Medium long shot, close up but I knew most of the camera shots. We also looked at pictures of camera shots and a video with a few camera shots after we discussed camera shots in filming we had a task to do with the film La Jetee which was to take still photos with facial expressions and Body language, there had to be 14 photos in total 1 photo for just the background to show the film setting two actors we also had to make sure to use over the shoulder shots. The other shot was of the action after we had been told our task we went in our La Jetee groups and took our pictures and we had to choose our best ones which we would edit into a still film and add effects and music in our next lesions. After we did the task all of the groups had to say what we could have done to improve which was we had to have better Framing, Focus and we had to use the rule of thirds better than we did in our images for our first task. How well did your activity go? The activity went ok but three of our group members wouldnt do much of the work and messed around but we told the tutor and it was sorted out. Were there any problems? The only issue we faced was our images we had three members of the group seemed very lazy and very hard to communicate with but after a while they were better than they originally was. Was time management an issue? There was no issues with time as we got the images we needed we just needed one more image or two. Were there any health and safety issues? There were three issues the three group members were being very awkward and uncompromising and using the equipment the wrong way also the weather was bad and it started to rain. 23/09/2013 September Monday Production log In the lesion we learnt about the zoom which we have to use to record sound which is used in TV and film also the boom pool rode NTGZ, XLR cable and the directional microphone shot gun microphone which we must always use with the zoom. The zoom must always be -48 not -6 or your audio will be distorted. We started recording sound and took our photos for Minnie La Jetee we did a script after our story board but changed our idea so we will have to change our story board again so it fits our video after we decided on camera shots. our footage which we got was slightly tilted and not in the 3rd of rules which must be used in the TV and Film industry but we could edit our video later that day in Andreas class which we managed to finish and make our footage and audio better and we managed it a week before schedule but we may have to edit a bit more depending on what our tutors say on the matter of the video.

In the lesion I helped come up with the ideas and the group decisions. My job role was to help be in the photos with the ideas and also the paperwork and planning also deciding on what paperwork I would do in class and home. The Activity went well as we got most of the planning and started the paperwork and decided on the decisions within the group There were some disagreements on how we should plan and how we would set the work ect but we decided after a good discussion. Time management was not an issue we faced. There were no health and safety issues within the group. 30/09/2013 Monday September Production log

In Tims lesion we had to start writing our location recce which I completed within that lesion Anthony and Charlie did the one page for our website which we was going to do a whole website but we had an issue with that and decided to do one page we decided it would be finish by hopefully Wednesday the 2nd of October 2013.

I Did part of the risk assessment with Anthony, Emma and Zoe did the story boards, Anthony Did the proposal also so all we need to do is make sure we do the script and that the story boards where finished which will be done by Wednesday then we can film on Monday the 7th of October from 9:00 till 12:20 then on Thursday the 10th of October from 9:30 till maybe 12:00 or 1:00 depending on how long we can have The equipment for as all the other groups also need to Book equipment. My job role was to do the Location recce then help out with the website and paperwork and make sure everyone knew what they were doing. The activity went good as everyone is almost finished and ready to film. We had a disagreement with making a website so in the end we decided that Charlie and Anthony would do a one page website which will still help us with our grades. Time management was not an issue in the lesion. It would help if maybe three group members would be more enthusiastic within the discussions and work place. we booked our footage today as you need to Book Two weeks in advance or you may not get your equipment to film with then you will behind as we have three weeks left to complete all the paperwork footage and editing so we needed to do a production schedule so everyone knew when we was doing the work ect and when we need it done by in time for our deadline. The Brief (What was the task) The task was to change our treatment and proposal finish the script and storyboards we also created a page for a newspaper to use as props for Filming out shots and I did a research report. We also had to do a risk Assessment for outside and add it to our original risk assessment we found more risk out side such as having an XLR cable out side would be a trip hazard, the weather could be a possible risk such as rain, wind and snow. You could slip on the mud if there is or was wet weather, you could trip over the benches, drains/manhole, trip over the curb, cars could run down actors, equipment or camera men ECT. You could walk into the metal lights, trip up or down the stairs, if filming near a tree or on grass you could tilt the shot or equipment and could fall and be

damaged. What were the main tasks set for the session / production? I did the script and search report and helped find the risks for the risk assessment. Individual tasks (What did I do?) The Brief (What was the task) The task for the lesion was to start taking out still photos for our La Jetee film we got our Equipment at 9:00 but had to stay back till 3:00 to film our final shots. We went to the X block to ask for someone to do effects to make one person look affected drained and dead by the site hackers media then we printed out our one page newspaper prop to use in one of our shots we will record our audio at 2:30 Wednesday an get our FX effects.

What was your job or activity? I had to help carry the equipment print out the one page newspaper prop report and help edit take the images and help out with the group work. The Activities How well did your activity go? The activity went well we got our pictures done for our La Jetee but we need to redo two of our 3D shots. Were there any problems? There were no problems and everyone was on task. Was time management an issue? Time management was an issue as we had to wait for make up affects to be available for 2:00 till 3:00. The Brief (What was the task) There was no specific task we just had to put our production logs up and start our evaluation for our La Jetee video which we will do all next week as we have finished all other production within the unit. What was your job or activity? I posted my production logs and finished my film review as I had a few bits left to finish then I uploaded it on Tumblr. How well did your activity go? The Brief (What was the task) Today to task was to record our audio again as it had music in the audio so we had to redo a line from the script at 1:00 after we did that we start to finish and finalize our edit in Andreas which I am proud to say that as a group we got the filming and editing done in two weeks and post production paperwork in a few days. Anthony had to change tow or three frame sizes of our images and the levels of the music and audio we also had to pace the video and cross fade our edit to improve it we had to change the colour so we highlighted the footage deleted it then reposted it, then we went to file export edit FC2 final footage we went on the soft ware magic bullet then click looks for colour then going onto video filters first of course then we could apply the colour we would like and finals that when we saved and exported our clips to video. The activity went well as we got all of our post production work done a week before we had to hand it in so we was a week early on our final video production deadline. Were there any problems?
