History of our technology

If people had understood how patents would be granted when most of today's ideas were invented, and had taken out patents, the industry would be at a complete standstill today. Bill Gates Its like Picasso said: good artist copy, great artist steal. Steve Jobs

People, the society, are resistant to change. When someone inventing something, those certain someone just inventing a change. The greater an invention is, the greater the change. In 1977, Apple, a young company established by three young man, Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne invented The Apple II, the very first personal computer in the world. IBM, the biggest computer company on that day, dismissed those personal computer as to small to do serious computing and unimportant to their bussiness. Seriously? Also, in 1980, bunch of Xerox engineers in California inventing the first mouse-driven graphical user interface, thats considered as most convinient feature of a personal computers nowaday. Surprisingly, back then, when those technology just invented, when those California engineers had to go to New York to present all of those neat stuff to the Xerox brass, those executives didnt begin to understand what theyre looking at. Nevermind a mouse. Its like someone dumped a dead rat on the boardroom table. Well, actually, we cant expect a big company like Xerox to consider something called a mouse. But, Steve Jobs, looking through all of those, he persuaded Xerox to show them all of those incredible stuff their California Engineers had invented. And, they got it, the Apple got it, and thats when the first big project of Apple Computer, Lisa, was born. See, good artist copy, great artist steal. In other hand, after Lisa released to public, Bill Gates, convinced Steve Jobs to work together. As a result, the Apple Computer sent Microsoft some prototype of their Machintosh, that havent been released on that day. Not so long after that, microsoft released the Windows, an operating system that had a great similarity to the Machintosh prototype, even the Machintosh itself havent been released yet. Coincidence? Some people inventing something that not easily accepted by the society, some people copying the invention and make it more acceptable, and some people just steal it, and make it greater. Sadly, its actually a hystory of our technology. How about nowadays?

Well, lets see the Apple vs Samsung case for example. These two big companies sued each others for their gadgets similarities. Meanwhile, the Chinese industries keep producing so many gadgets that have many similarities to gadgets those from the big companies. So, what the big companies say about this Chinese industries? They say nothing, they barely not sweat it. Why? Because in bussiness view, these Chinese industries are not really a threats. Once in his speech at the University of Washington, Bill Gates said, About 3 million computers get sold every year in China, but people don't pay for the software. Someday they will, though. As long as they are going to steal it, we want them to steal ours. They'll get sort of addicted, and then we'll somehow figure out how to collect sometime in the next decade. After all, the history of the most part of our technology was built by a bunch of bussinessman. Most of those creation and invention, sadly, its just a matter of bussiness after all. Isnt it?
