Abengoza, Jr. Chairman: Committee on Tourism, Women and Family A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE PROVINCIAL DISASTER RISK REDUCTION AND MANAGEMENT OFFICE (PDRRMO) THROUGH MR. GILBERT BAACO A WATER TANKER AND/OR TWO (2) MULTICABS CONVERTED TO MINI -FIRETRUCKS WHEREAS, the Philippine Constitution under Article II Section 5 declares that the maintenance of peace and order, the protection of life, liberty, and property, and promotion of the general welfare are essential for the enjoyment by all the people of the blessings of democracy. WHEREAS, the state likewise declares that vesting of duty, responsibility and accountability in the LGU shall be accompanied with provision for reasonably adequate resources effective to carry out their function; WHEREAS, the Committee on Tourism, Women and Family, relative to the fire in August 3, 2013, identifies the need for support of the existing fire trucks of the Municipality. WHEREAS, the Committee proposed the acquisition of one (1) unit of water tanker to minimize the downtime in refilling the fire trucks and/or two (2) additional equipped mini-firetrucks in response thereto; NOW THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Sangguniang Bayan in Session Assembled that one (1) unit of water tanker and/or two (2) units of equipped mini-firetrucks are requested from the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) of Palawan. SECTION 1. Title. This resolution shall be known as A resolution requesting the Provincial Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) through Mr. Gilbert Baaco a water tanker and/or two (2) multicabs converted to mini-firetrucks SECTION 2. The requested two (2) units of multicabs converted to mini-firetrucks should be equipped with a water tank, a high-pressure water pump generator, a fire hose, and other related firefighting equipment. SECTION 3. The requested two (2) units of multicabs converted to mini-firetrucks will be stationed at Bgy. Poblacion District I qaasdfagbhbhtan1i and Bgy. Poblacion District and Bgy. Poblacion District II respectively. SECTION 4. In the event of fire, the properly-trained Barangay Volunteer Fire Brigade will respond immediately prior to the arrival of Firemen from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) of Brookes Point. SECTION 5. Effectivity Clause. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval. SO ORDAINED August 26, 2013
