PUBLIC HI-C RETREAT ~ November 15-17, 2013 at Camp Au Sable Cost: $45 (sponsor for high school students is free). Theme: "Relevant?" Studies have shown that young people are looking for relevancy and authenticity in their life. How can the Bible and faith have any meaning or context to the ever-changing demands of this chaotic world? In the public education system, evolution and humanism have provided relevant answers to life. Therefore, we want to focus the Public HI-C retreat on how the Bible IS relevant to the Christian, and particularly Adventist, at this time in earths history. Speaker: Moise Ratsara, Registration deadline is November 10. You may also register online at http://miadventistyouth.com/#/adventistyouth/adventist-youth. THEYRE HAVING A BABY! Chad Bernard was our principal at GLAS for 7 years, prior to being called to Weimar Academy in 2010. Chad and his wife, Melinda, loved the students and our school with such a Godly love it was contagious to all who came in contact with them. Chad & Melinda had always wanted kids but were not granted that miracle until NOW!!! God has blessed them with a baby; Melinda is almost 20 weeks pregnant and they will learn the gender in early November. Please come and help us celebrate!!! Melinda will be visiting family for a few days and she has agreed to come and allow us the honor of celebrating this precious little miracle. Due to Melinda's travel arrangements back home to California she will not be able to carry gifts with her. Gift cards are the best choice or, if you would like, you may mail a gift to their home. They will be shopping at Babies 'R' Us & Target. If you would like to mail a gift please contact Nancy Hansen for their address. The shower will take place in the Lansing SDA fellowship hall on Sunday, November 10th @ 1 pm. If you have any questions please contact Nancy Hansen, 269-876-7218.
