RESUMEN En este trabajo se discute la aplicacin de distintas tcnicas para la elaboracin de registros de manifestaciones del arte rupestre, se evalan los resultados y se aportan ejemplos de resultados de distintos tipos obtenidos mediante tcnicas de anlisis de imagen, que resultan relevantes tanto para la investigacin de las manifestaciones rupestres como para la formulacin de estrategias adecuadas de trabajo sobre los motivos, soporte y contexto. Las metodologas utilizadas tradicionalmente para el registro grafico del arte rupestre han tendido a reflejar los motivos descontextualizados con respecto al soporte y al conjunto de elementos que contribuyen a su entendimiento dentro del espacio, y al mismo tiempo resultaban, de una u otra manera otro factor ms de deterioro. En este trabajo se plantea el anlisis de imagen como una alternativa no destructiva capaz de servir al registro integral del arte rupestre, es decir, aquella que es capaz de aportar datos tiles para la investigacin arqueolgica y, al mismo tiempo, que posibilite establecer mtodos efectivos de anlisis e interpretacin sin resultar invasivas.

ABSTRACT This paper discusses the application of various techniques for making records of rock art manifestations, evaluate the results and provide examples of results obtained using different types of image analysis techniques, which are relevant to both research of rock art and for the formulation of appropriate strategies to work on the grounds, support and context. The methods traditionally used for graphic recording of rock art have tended to reflect the reasons decontextualized regarding support and the set

of elements that contribute to its understanding within the space, and at the same time proved, in one way or another other factor deterioration. This paper presents the image analysis as a nondestructive alternative able to serve the comprehensive record of rock art, that is, one that is able to provide useful data for archaeological research and at the same time, making it possible to establish effective methods analysis and interpretation without being invasive.
