EMPLOYMENT 2011 2013 Education Support Officer (Integration Aide and Classroom Support) Morwell Park Primary School Throughout my 3 years at Morwell Park Primary School, I have been responsible for and been involved in: Aide in year levels prep to grade 6 in one-on-one and small group situations. Working to help children with learning disabilities, ESL students and students of varying ability levels. Attending a number of school excursions, grade and whole school. Attending camps with year levels 3-6. Responsibilities have included basic surf lessons, day to day camp activities and supervision. During my involvement with Morwell Park PS, my knowledge of how a school operates has developed significantly. I have noted similarities and differences between classrooms, taking with me the characteristics which I believe would make a positive classroom environment. I have continued to build upon my knowledge of children and how they learn best, in particular those with special needs and how best to interact with them. Surf Lifesaver Cape Paterson Surf Lifesaving Club (Voluntary) In the 5 years that I have been involved with the Cape Paterson Surf Lifesaving Club, I have been able to be a part of many different aspects of the club including: Actively patrolling each season, averaging over 100 voluntary hours on the beach. Acting as a Bronze Trainer, teaching 15 + year old students their certificate 2 in public safety and being responsible for their care, safety and well-being through week long camps. Being a Nipper Age Group Manager - which involves the instruction and supervision of a group of 15 young children (aged 7-12) in beach skills and safety. Holding leadership roles including patrol captain, vice patrol captain, junior club captain and vice club captain. Sports Trainer Mirboo North Football/Netball Club (Voluntary) My dedication to the local netball/football club was demonstrated when I became a sports trainer in 2010. In this role I have been responsible for the strapping and first aid of the players. Lifeguard South Gippsland Splash As a lifeguard at South Gippsland Splash I have had the role of supervising all patrons as well providing first aid and emergency care when required. Tutor Primary School Students (Self Employed) I have tutored a number of primary students in the literacy and numeracy areas, collaborating with their classroom teachers. Teachers Assistant Mirboo North Primary School At Mirboo North I had the role of one-on-one supervision in the yard for students who were experiencing difficulties. Active After School Care Mirboo North Primary School Over a 10 week period, I became a part of the Active After School Program acting as a netball coach, instructing 20+ students in the basic skills and knowledge needed to play netball.
