Volcanoes.

Sakurajima Volcano had been in Japan since 708 C.E. The summit for this mountain/volcano is split into three peaks. The peaks are Northern Peak, Central Peak, and the Southern Peak. The Northern peak is the highest it is 1,117 m high above sea level. There were eruptions 22,000 years ago. The last eruption on the northern side was about 4,900 year ago. This Volcano is about 333,692 years old. Sakurajima is a Volcano in Japan, it erupted 500 time in August of this year. The Volcano left city in ashes, all the ashes caused a lot of thing to shut down. People in these towns had to use stuff to cover themselves, so they didnt get in contact with the ash from the Volcano. All of the ashes and the Volcanic plume got sent really high in the air. This Volcano in Japan has the biggest Volcanic history. The Volcano in the 1970s erupted every single day. The 1980s the Volcano still erupted every single day. In the 21st century the Volcano got worse. In the year 1999 there was big amounts of lava that came out of the Volcano. Today there are still big eruptions going on with this Volcano. The first ever eruption on this Volcano was in 963 C.E. Lava was spurting out of the Volcano. This

Volcano has been erupting ever since then. 1914 was the worst of an eruption, it was the biggest one on record. There was one eruption that it was so massive that there was lighting involved. A big cloud formed over the town where Sakurajima was and it happened after the Volcano erupted. Also after the long eruption there was also lava that was included. And people had to be forced out of there homes to go to safety after the Volcano erupted. These people after the eruption was over Trucks, water and other things helped clean up the ash after the eruption.The train station was out of order because of this eruption. The people that drive had to put on their headlight to see through the thick cloud of gas.

Sakurajima still erupts today. In August Sakurajima made the highest plume record since 2006. There was more than 500 eruptions this year in August. The big eruptions are important because the place is highly populated. This Volcano sees many different kind of eruptions. The last eruption recorded was last month in August on the 28th of this year. The Volcano could be still erupting now. Sakurajima still could have really big explosions and it could just make the whole highly populated place become extinct one day.
