I would like some of these nuts, he thought. Im sure Mother would give them to me if she were here. Ill take a big handful. So he reached into the jar and grabbed as many as he could hold. But when he tried to pull his hand out, he found the neck of the jaw was too small. His hand was held fast, but he did not want to drop any of the nuts. He tried again and again, but he couldnt get the whole handful out of the jar. At last he began to cry. Just then his mother came into the room. Whats the matter she asked. I cant take this handful of nuts out of the jar, sobbed the boy. Well, dont be so greedy, his mother replied. Just take two or three, and youll have no trouble getting your hand out. The boy did as his mother suggested and released his grasp on the handful of nuts. Then taking only two or three nuts into his hand he removed his hand from the jar with ease. How easy that was, said the boy as he left the table. I might have thought of that myself.

David Atchison, brother of Norman

Atchison, had surgery last week to remove some spots on his kidney. Tests are being run to determine if the spots are cancerous. David lives in Ohio.

Cecilia Martin, of the University Church

of Christ in Albuquerque, has had a heart attack. She is the wife of Al Martin, former elder for the University church. The Martins have been involved with the Navajo Reservation churches for many years, especially with the Ft. Defiance Church of Christ.
